That said, if I were GM, I would not sell the ship to simply please Jack...furthermore I suspect any GM worth half-a-brain would have that very direct conversation with him...if not, fire that GM for having not done so. Jack must understand a new GM will need more that 1 offseason to "right" a 25 place team....if not, TRADE EICHEL NOW...because it is impossible to then pull off what his demands are. YET, ADAMS MUST SHOW HIM A COHESIVE P,LAN TO GET THERE IN 2 YEARS

So, while I understand I have a disgruntled Top 5 Center who may push me very soon...I can't let that be foremost in my player evaluation decision(s) now.

The new GM, Adam's in this case knows full well with only 10 contract commitments, NOW is the time to fully reshape this team...Eichel saying Fix It, really should have very, very little bearing on the actions a competent GM would plan for and execute against anyway... the assumption going in is a 25th place roster sucks balls and needs lots of immediate help and a solid plant for long term success anyway.

IMO of course.

No playoffs, no cups, no structure, no leadership, no................. I can go on and on. You keep telling me that what Eichel thinks or says shouldn't matter, ok. I have no problem with getting Strome but is he the answer for 2nd line center and Skinner making 9 mill a year, since our Head Coach is a moron and won't put him on the 1st line.
