And I hate to do it, but if the 8th can bring back a good player in that 25-26 or younger age group it should be in play. There are teams hurting cap wise this year, it's a perfect year to add some decent talent.

Yep. The right deal should leave you satisfied in 2-3 years when #8 emerges. Yeah he's good, but so is our guy.

When I played hockey was taught you might not always win that race into the corner or behind the net for the puck, but that defensemen was gonna pay for being there. We don't have enough guys who will finish there checks. It's not always about talent, HEART goes a long way too.

The player that can take a hit to make a play is far, far more valuable than the player that can make a hit to make a play. It's been this way for a long, long time.

To be clear, I am good with hitting if the intended purpose was true to the original point, which was to separate the man from the puck, but that happens so infrequently anymore as hitting now almost always happens after the puck is gone to even long gone.
