Yeah, pretty sh!tty out there today...soaking rain...ugh. It's moving down south after 12 noon though...but the grass will probably be wet all damn day. Crap.

That being said, I've lived in the Buffalo area my entire 54.5 years now, and I can't recall a better year for weather in my entire life. From Winter until now, it's basically been perfect. I don't remember a spring and summer being this awesome. Perfect day after perfect day after perfect day.

Figures, there's a freakin' pandemic during the most amazing weather Buffalo has ever seen. Can't even enjoy it.

Buffaluck.

Yeah, it has been pretty good around here, a lot of cocktails drank on the back porch. I got up early cause I was gonna smoke some ribs, just sucks as the rain is coming down pretty hard in Hamburg

Not much to talk about this morning, so I'll go with music. From time to time, I look for something new to listen to, as I grow weary of all the crap I've been listening to since the late 70's through now (still listening to Computer World by Kraftwerk !). Sometimes I just go by album cover, sometimes by band name. I'll give it a shot on YouTube and most of the time it's just "meh". But there is the rare occasion when I get lucky and find something amazing. This morning, I discovered something amazing ! And it was the bands name that got me :

I can't type this bands full name (censored !), but here's HOLY F*CK and their 2020 album "Deleter" :

https://www.youtube.com/p...ZFQ2dQ2OFSLo_rqOGEGeKuInN

How can't you love a band with a name like Holy F*ck ? Great music, but it might not be your cup of tea. I've always been into weird/different/alt music. I guess i'd go with "experimental" for the genre here.

great sentiments this morning, kritts...although i must say, thanks to the awesome weather i was outside enjoying it probably more than any time since i was a kid...

nice job mining for these guys--maybe a little kraftwerk running under some early eighties synth (depeche mode?) that's more than fitting for a rave...running it through my bose tv speaker w/sub right now on this dark morning...wouldn't mind putting on headphones and indulging in some deliciousness while listening

Thanks for the dinner idea...Ribs, mashed potatoes, maybe corn in the cob.

I take the shortcut...
season the ribs with a rub,
cook on grill to sear the juices in and get some grill flavoring
Then oven cook at about 235° in a covered aluminium pan with BBQ sauce...I've taken a liking to Carolina style.

Hey! Hey! We’re number one!! 😂
Not only is it 23 seasons since reaching conference finals, it’s 23 years without even winning a playoff round. Only made 5 appearances in those 23 years.
The FL Panters.
Hope Mr Zito brought the H with him...
Zito is the eleventh GM for FL. Considering Tallon was GM for 9, and Bryan Murray was in charge for 6 (iIrc), that’s 8 GMs over the other 11/12 years of the franchise’s history.
Heard this secondhand, but apparently Friedman says Dudley is going to join the Panters front office in some, as yet unspecified, capacity.

Dump the Dudley idea...
Hire Kerry and Tim as consultants, they know way more than anyone, just ask them!... join the Sabres fuility and celebrate another 23 years!

Don't sleep on Brett Murray. Hot take - He'll play full time for the Sabres in 2021-22
- jcragcrumple

This might be the most disturbing thing that I've seen here in the last week. A close second was "do we have room for Jack Johnson?".

I've seen Murray play a bit in Roch as well as at the last few development camps. I can't believe that we signed him as I saw absolutely no upside other than he got in the way of people.

Don't sleep on Tage being the truth this year.

No intent, but there are rules about not hitting the balls back there like that. It was head high, too fast to react to catch it because you would not be expecting it. Just no reason to hit it back there like that

His first development camp was soooooo bad. He could not keep up with the college UDFA guys in drills or scrimmages.

He’s gotten better, but still I agree he’s no NHL’er

I watched him at dev camp last summer, but I didn't get to any amerks games this year. Almost half a point per game as a rookie this year though (24 in 55), on a team where the leading scorer had 39p in 55gp.

I'm not saying he's going to be anything great, but he could be a full time L4 Larry in 15 months. He has the elite largeness we're lacking

Full time NHL in 15 months? Seems rather....optimistic.
