Cap is going to be flat at 81.5 million right?
If they spend $74-$75 I don't think it matters too much
There are going to be teams that were banking on a cap increase (Tampa)
But if they set it at like $71 million and aren't flexible then they're a joke - Stripes77
Ideal time to land a player you normally wouldn't be able to land. Have to start working on a $72 million roster.
That should be a challenge.

I actually think on some level it's more risky to keep going cheap. You can keep paying low prices (2nds, 3rds, 4ths, b-prospects) for low-risk/high-reward players, but the most likely outcome of that is mediocre results for mediocre players.
If you're doing that, you have to hope that someone like Jason Nightingale can look at the data and identify some misunderstood asset to maximize - jcragcrumple
If you want an established guy, you pay a premium. Lower risk (short term anyways), no real upside (most of these are at their peak or beyond), and it's a temporary fix.

I've decided to just not care anymore, the Pegulas have officially put me in that group of fans.
I spent more time on this website than I did watching any games after they blew a lead against Tampa
I want them to be good but unless they actually do something that looks like they are trying to improve the team I won't make it a point to watch a game. |

Lazar, Thompson, Mittelstadt, Cozens, Borgen, Murray
Risto, Mojo and Montour for picks.
There's a head start. Looking forward to the reed |

Sabres interval videos set for low 70s. What a franking joke of an owner. Sell the team.

For those who want to know what this post actually is saying, the article says the Sabres are looking at an internal salary cap in the low-$70M range. So are the Penguins.
The Coyotes may be looking at sub-$70M internal cap.
EDIT: L8. Didn't refresh. |

I'd be fine with that + extending Larsson.

I did one at $75M...gonna revisit that and slash $3M somewhere
Edit: check that, the lowest I got was $76 and change...
I'm going $72.5M which is "lower 70's"

I can go back to last summer when I wanted him here to be a placeholder for Casey
He is a real center
I don't see Larsson staying unfortunately |

Gerbe might be right about us getting Stepan.
$6.5M cap hit but owed only $2M cash.

It's hard to sign the RFA's and fill out a team at 75m.

Unless you move someone like Risto for picks and prospects
But we have also read that Pegula is willing to spend for Pietrangelo so what do we believe? |

Seems like yesterday, when many wanted ERod on a long term deal and he was a proven middle 6 C.
I don't see Larsson back either, in which case they need to replace him or suffer.

Yeah, you can throw basically any improvements out the window with a $72m cap |

How much have they lost since taking over the team?
How much will they lose this year even with an internal Cap? |
