Key words there ... "sources say". I never believe anything if the words "sources say" are in there. The only way I'll believe ANYthing going forward is if I hear it from the owner, GM, or coach.

That being said, IF true...I don't care. They own the team and are allowed to do whatever they want - and that's fine with me. If it means an inferior team, so be it. I'm getting too old to care so much about a hockey team. As we know, there's WAY more important things happening in the world right now.

Nick Bonino 4.1m cap hit (2.4m salary)

Reilly Smith 5m cap hit (3.5m salary)

I have a feeling now (thanks to the fine work that pegulaville did on the Monahan contract) that even 8 may not be enough.
