Why? To avoid a conflict with football? It's now going from a Friday - Saturday to a Tuesday - Wednesday.

NHL Draft is being moved ahead a couple of days. First round Oct 6, rest on Oct. 7.

Can anyone confirm that Adams is in fact working for the Sabres or is the GM position still vacant? Asking for a friend.

Adams is still trying to figure out the ice at harbor center and waiting for Kim. Kim is busy with the football and working on the bean extension while giving Croom direction for his cabin boy duties. Once the football starts and Croom is settled in his super yacht position, then mrs. Pegula can focus her attention on Kevyn and the Sabres.

Maybe waiting for TB to finish it off so he can talk to them before trading away his chips.

Don’t worry. Every single player suggested to you....... is not good enough.

Mean while an 8th overall pick that is a massive question mark .... you want.

So like Monahan which you hate. He puts up consistent 60 point seasons a 1C in the NHL no less.

But some kid you don’t even know .... you want. That on top of that won’t be ready for 2-3 years at best.

I’ll take a consistently good nhler over a massive “what if”

And with the 8th overall pick. The pegulas fires more than half of the front office and starting the nhl draft scouting all over again.

No way in his hell they get the pick right

You say the bolded consistently, but it does not make it true.

It depends on who they pick.

There is a very, very, very slim chance an 8th overall pick makes any difference until year 2 at the earliest

You might think hes worth the 8th + I dont hes overrated and a nightmare on D and has been Carried his whole career by Johnny hockey..

If its sam for sean .. sure deal..

The 8th is more valuable to us with the players that will be there and will help out this franchise to the next level ..

That same thought process led to Shea Theodore wearing a Knights jersey.

There are ways to get a player in here, heck even multiple forwards without giving up the 8th pick.

My point is ...... a consistent producer at the nhl level ...... is more valuable than a massive unknown 8th overall pick

Monahan Is a guaranteed good nhl ......

Sabres track record with 1st round picks aren’t the greatest Either

Cozens - waiting on
Mitts - development has been terrible
Nylander - trash
Sam Reinhart - could’ve had draistal
Zadorov / Grigorenko / girgensons
Risto who everyone hates

So again. “A player that can help us” .... we tried that before. It hasn’t worked

Monahan is a guaranteed 60 point guy and you don’t even have to gamble on what he can do

The chances an 8th overall pick makes a positive contribution to an NHL roster in years 1-2 is like 10%.

What I think is funny is how no one wants to pigeon hole Cozens into the 2C spot, despite him being in DY+2, and having an excellent year, yet we’re super optimistic an 8th overall pick is going to make some meaningful contribution?
