I for one am happy, since you guys know I only get part of the first round Friday and none on Saturday. This year, it's a Jewish holiday that weekend, so completely off the grid from Friday to Sunday night. Selfishly, the change is a godsend, pun intended.

I still miss the days of the one day draft. I think given the time of year, the midweek draft might actually be better for the league. At least here in the U.S. people would just focus on football for the weekend.
Oh its not doom and gloom over a guy that scores 30 pts, its just that if he goes to the Flyers every time he plays us he will remind us about it. - aecliptic
It's not the 30 points he scores. It's the extra 20 a piece he allowed Panarin and Strome to net by supporting them under the puck.
Hope you guys are wrong about moving on from what should be our Captain for the next couple of seasons!!

if the cap had gone to 88 mil like it was supposed to, things would be different

Carp saying in his latest article that buying out Lundqvist pretty much done deal - jimbro83
I honestly didn't think the org would have had the gumption to do that. I know people don't want dead cap for any longer that possible, but it's really only one additional year and that's after Shatty cap hit goes way down, along with Smith and Staal being gone.

maybe he will if they let him know they plan to buy him out. where does he honestly expect to play if he's bought out? he sure as hell won't be a starter anywhere.
Beginning of free agency (Oct. 9) fell on the same day as Day 1 of the draft, so one or the other had to be moved. As

it's his only chance of playing next year, him getting bought out, because then he can sign somewhere cheap for one year

I think there is going to be a ton of buyouts around the league. The cap not going up is going to frank a ton of teams.
I wonder if there are going to be players who won't play next year. Not a ton of teams will have cap space, who's going to suck it in and take a cheap contract and who will hold out?

from what I understand, the buyout period is gonna start before the Cup is awarded

I dont know, I still think he'd considered too slow for Quinn's system - jimbro83
He might be close to one of the better centers I could see getting bought out. Vegas is kind of a weird spot with Statsny, but I'm not sure they would buy him out yet.
EA Sports is making Kaepernick available as a free agent any team can sign in Madden 2021 and as you can imagine everyone is losin their damn minds - jimbro83
Shouldn't he have been a free agent every year in that game?
