Andersson is a good goalie - VANTEL
Ya, but you're tied into his 5 mil contract, which fair enough is only one year. If you trade Marky, you're going to want a guy to split games with Demko. I think you could get a guy like that for 3-4 for a couple years.
I'm not completely against it, I just think it's a fairly lateral move, especially since you're letting Tanev go with nothing to replace him. |

I would be looking at 50/50 game split giving Demko that extra year. One year deal sounds great to me. Gives Mikey on the farm also another year.
All indications that I am reading is any free agent asking for too much will be looking on the open market. Much like Krug or Minny moving Dumba . I think teams are willing to look to their ELCs . I am okay with looking at OJ and Rafferty next year.
I think a lot of teams are going to walk away from players this year and I think deals will be there to be made. |

I seen an interesting thought from a guy on Social Media. He said the rights of Markstrom and the rights of Tanev to Toronto for Freddy Andersson. - VANTEL

I believe owners have given GM orders to keep term down. Agents will reject this and try to push things on the market. Its going to be very interesting who blinks first and what the Covid contracts will look like. |

I would do a Marky straight up for Andersen move. Would like to re-sign Tanev for 3 years.
That gives us one year of Andersen which is great as you said, and gives Toronto either the starter they think they want, or lets them move cap to sign another goalie by letting Marky go. |

I think it will be a very one sided battle . Free agency is always the worst road to take.
I seen some very big names mentioned on the trade block so far Laine Ehlers Nylander
Ristolainen Domi Ekman Larsson Dumba . Why would you go overpay a free agent? |

I don't think TO would do it one for one. They could just trade Anderssen for a draft pick to Ottawa or Buffalo

The big trades are likely to happen in and around the draft. Then the teams who lost out on getting the player look to free agents. This is what agents bank on cashing in on desperation.
Though now I believe instead of over pays the term will get shortened. I just wonder who is accepting of this new reality and tells their agent to stuff it and make a deal to stick with their team? |

No thanks. Andersson is good up until the last two weeks of the season and sucks in POs. No way. |
