Probably should hire someone who posts regularly here - lots of really smart folks to choose from. - Scoob

if that worked, Konecny would be chasing Gretzky for the all time goals title already.

Keeps pushing? That’s actually what happened the second hexy was fired. Hexy layed the plan out. It wasn’t go time like he said. This playoff proves that. This team should’ve started to turn roster over this year. Instead of trading picks away for bruan and nisky. But hey Comcast you got a playoff series win against a team that shouldn’t have been there to begin with. Pat yourselves on the back and keep pushing g and Jake and jvr. Why not - SMS4016

Yes, and they’d get high fives coming back to the bench no matter what they do on the ice. |

I wasnt a huge fan of Fillpula. I would have preferred someone with more offensive upside but he was definitely better than nothing. He did everyhing else on the ice pretty well. Even if Patrick was ready he'd be perfect for the 3rd line.
At the same time though Hextall was rumoured to be after Stastny as well so as far as C position is concerned he may have made an attempt to get him, failed and by then it was too late. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Fillpula filled a role and did it well. They wouldn't have made the playoffs one season if it wasn't for Fillpula. I would've liked to have him over Grant in this years playoffs.

Ok.
How long SHOULD Hextall have not given a **** about winning?
Be specific, genius.
He wanted carte-blanche until HEXTALL felt he was ready to proceed. Not the welfare of:fans, staff and players.
Does that sound familiar? Because it's EXACTLY what the Sixers did.
But HE didn't want the process stigma, but guess what?
It caught up with him. |

You really think so even with our PP struggling in regular season towards the end? |

Had he been a pleasant person to be and work around?
He may have had a different fate. I have no sympathy for him.
..... So tell me what HE, alone, did for this team that no other GM could have done had they had six years to work with?
EDIT: I meant to edit last post not respond to my own comment |

NHL seems toast anyway, with this flat salary cap. Tampa can win every year with their FL tax bargain roster. Tampas competitor's can't add enough quality, to challenge them. - Landsbergfan
Why haven't the Panthers dominated? They have the same "tax benefits". So does Las Vegas, Dallas, and soon to be Seattle.
As of 2020, seven states—Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming—levy no personal income tax |
