The way most of us feel here Roger. I'm more annoyed about the 1.2 mil. that we have to shell out for Kessel next two seasons. Certainly botched that deal.

Back reading this thread is painful. Holl is not the problem. Holl is not overpaid. He is overplayed in terms of both minutes and quality of competition.

Holl would be great in a bottom pairing roll playing 15 minutes or less per night. The constant complaining that a 2 million dollar defenseman isn't performing like a 6 million dollar defenseman is asinine.

Every team has a guy playing above his station, like that's really anything to fret about it. It's called seizing the opportunity and making the most of it. Holl has done that; Holl isn't the problem at all.

Is he going to carry the 2nd pairing? No, he needs a Muzzin, but that's kind of standard: good players make other players better.

I'd like to see how #2s and #4s around the league tread water when the prime partner on that pairing is gone for an extended amount of time.

As many as I need to win my pool hopefully!

Holl is a bottom pair d-man, just like Marincin.
Holl is not a huge upgrade over Marincin - the only reason why he's given more opportunities, is because he's a RHD.
Marincin is better on the PK.
To be a big fan of Holl and say Marincin is NHL's worst defender is just a strange position.
(I don't mind either as a 6/7 option).

Stay away from Ghost and Klingberg - both can't defend.
And Rielly is much better than Klingberg.
