but we do need to even it out ...... i suppose we can add in petan. |

Campbell has done jack poop to prove he can do anything in a Leafs uniform that won't lead to burning down the White House. - AdamFrench
This is absolutely true, but he's better than, say, a one armed mannequin. |

Agreed ...and Canes aren't moving Pesce for Andersen. - The Law
I would agree, Leafs would need to add, there is a chance other teams would pay more than Carolina.

I'm not going to go all Santo but even us modest hockey dummies know Pesce has great value right? Big, young, good skater, excellent in his own zone, top 4 RHD on a 4 x 4 contract. Am I off on his scouting report?
Purrrrfect for the Leafs but also purrrrfect for 30 other teams (including the Canes). |

We can add any combination of two non-rookie players making under 3 million dollars that play in the bottom six.
Also a 4th to sweeten the deal. |

Andersen is worth quite a bit. it's all due to his 1 million in salary - RogerRoeper
unless you want to win a playoff round, that is. |

If I'm Dubas maybe I move Jonsson for Pesce. Maybe - RogerRoeper
I'd rather keep Johnsson in order to trade him in a 1-for-1 for McDavid. |

What’s the dealio with big buff? Can he sign anytime or does he have to wait till the ufa period?
Not sure if he even wants to come back or if the leafs would be an option for him but he would be a perfect fit for the playoffs.
Get him up to speed for the playoffs but I think he would be a warrior and type of guy the leafs miss in the playoffs. |

Why isn't Florida making the playoffs with Barkov and Ekblad though?

I read Chicago might be interested as well..
Andersen to Chicago for Connor Murphy and a 2nd rd pick would also be nice. - PatC80
The Athletic reported Chicago offered Crawford 1 year at 3.5 ....I imagine they'll work out a deal.
Strike them off the list. |

And the Toronto's hot dog industry could finally recover from the loss of Phil Kessel.

Might be the only place where he'll be in the running to be a #1 goaltender.
Crawford at 3.5M is fine but you can't rely on him to stay healthy over a whole season... he'll need another good goaltender backing him up.

Even if Crawford stays, he hasn't been healthy lately.. Andersen/Crawford is a decent 1-2 punch |

Good call, leafs could sign him to league minimum and give him endorsements with hot dog companies.

Crawford already mentioned he wants to be a #1 goaltender.
Not sure he'd consider playing backup for Andersen unless the idea is 50/50.
