Honestly I don't care about Askarov, I just need the Leafs to have a goalie prospect that can play. - TheMussel
I don't care either, well, as long as Lafreniere drops to 15th |

2018-2019 he played in the MHL = CHL
2019-2020 he played in the VHL = AHL - Steven_Seagull
He would have played the U18's and probably cemented his place. A lot of guys lost the chance to really show what they had with that tourney cancelled. Byfield is probably the biggest loser from that. He could have killed it and put to bed any issues with his inconsistencies. |

Ok thanks
His first year (19/20) in the VHL he had great numbers.
.245 and .920
This year.
.303 and 893
BUT I just notice that this year it was ONE bloody game he played. LOL
My bad. |

Remember that cool motorcycle rally in South Dakota? A new study estimates $12B in Covid related health care costs from resulting spread. I sure hope everybody got laid. |

Article from LeBrun in the Athletic on Simmonds. Quote from Simmonds
“I moved up to Aurora (north of Toronto) probably three summers ago, my wife and I and our daughter,’’ Simmonds said. “I’ve been walking around the neighbourhood way more frequently than I usually do because I’ve been here a lot longer than normal and all I keep hearing is, `When are you going to sign with the Leafs?’
“So of course it’s crossed my mind. I know they’re in a bit of a salary cap situation and things of that nature, but you know I’m open to everything, Toronto’s got a great core of players and I think that’s definitely a team where I could go in and make an impact right away. It’s up to the teams. Whoever wants to choose me, I’ll be waiting. I’ll definitely be ready to go.’’
I would love Simmonds on the team. He could help in a lot of ways IMO. |

"Based on the increase in case count, the researchers group, estimated that cases connected to the gathering resulted in $12 billion in public health costs, not including the costs associated with any deaths that might be tied to cases from the event. That dollar amount is based on another estimation that an average of $46,000 is spent on each patient who tests positive for COVID-19."
Gotta love the US medical system. |

You'd love 2016 Simmonds on the team.
Yeah, I read the article. Maybe he's now recovered from his injuries. Maybe. But he's the kind of player that does not age well.
I just don't think we have the cap space to risk signing him.
Too bad - I like Toronto-born players. Simmonds always franked the Leafs when he played here. |

Based on what he said in the article(below specifically), he appears to be amenable to taking a lower salary with the Leafs. I dont think we need 2016 Simmonds, somewhere in between and giving us some grit. He could play up and down the lineup when required.
I know they’re in a bit of a salary cap situation and things of that nature, but you know I’m open to everything |

The Black Hill are beautiful and it’s fun to visit where one arrogant white general got (frank)ed over by some smart natives.
It’s the coolest of all the Dakotas. |
