I think bigger is the key. Even when Myers came back, he wasn't being run off the puck like Stetch, Fatty, Tanev, and Hughes were. He was able to stand his ground. Look at Tampa – their defense are big tall dudes. It's not always about gooning forecheckers, but just being able to take some bumps without flying. - NewYorkNuck
For sure, Tampa has big defensemen that continually punish opposition forwards, doesn’t have to be bone crushing hits, but they add up over a series. I think Brian Burke mentioned something similar on his segment. |

“Friedman says VAN likes to keep Tanev but worried about the $ and Stecher but they’re worried about the Arbitration $. Says VAN would love to rebuild their Blue-line to defend better as a group. “ Their number 1 priority”.”

That is the problem with fans , they get attached to the players
They can't have change if they bring back the same group. |

There’s always multiple layers to everything though, it’s easy to say you want change in the form of better players but it’s not always an easy thing to do. |

I can see that happening through the year. He'll start on the third and then move up with injuries/line juggling. He'll need to be sheltered a bit, and Pearson is a much more responsible 200' player, especially when playing with Bo in a shut down role |

Cant' keep those two guys AND rebuild the back end. If they're both kept, you can only really move out Fatty and Benn |

I told Vantel a few days and I expect Virtanen and Stecher to be shipped out. I don’t think Fattenberg will be back either. |

Tryamkin is the bigger more mobile D that can be brought in once they sort out the top end money on cap. I'm not sure if he's got an out or walk away clause in 1yr KHL contract. |

Add LE or Baertschi in there and take one pick out. But yes, I'm pretty positive Virt and Stetch have played their last games as Canucks. Sucks for them, as they literally cheered for this team growing up |

If they avoid arbitration and take less then Canucks more likely to keep them. |

Sens got 6 RFA's with Arb rights on only 10 roster players. You think this cheap team would want to add 2 more that would hold out for max award if traded to them?
Maybe they would like cash certainty with more cap but less $ and term contracts. One of like Rous and Sutter who can also provide the intangibles for their young group. |

They could also MTA them and then re-sign them for less. |

I could see Detroit interested in a deal like that, with Rasmussen and/or Cholowski involved. |

What the fuc k is an MTA, again? |

Someone was arguing earlier about Gaudette having a 0.57 ppg during the season, he was 0.00000ppg during the playoffs, when things matter.
For a skinny kid who doesn't provide much, other than some points, those playoff numbers are unacceptable. |

Are you trying to add on to a super lame troll attempt where there is no agreement to mutually terminate a RFA? |
