Do you think they are going to sign Marky? If I was to guess today I would say no. |

I don't think so either.
His rights will be sent to Buffalo for a 5th rounder. |

Wait, I thought we were going for Fleury....
He'll get signed. It would be silly to invest all of that time into developing him just to let him walk. I think the battle might be over the NMC. Because if Marky signs, he'll want to stay. With Demko waiting in the wings the club will want the flexibility to move one or the other. At this point with a signed Marky, either guy gets you a decent return in a trade. |

I would have thought it was a done deal two weeks ago but hearing Jim say Demko is the future and if Markstrom wants to test free agency he has earned the right.
I think he has a set amount and a set term and wont move off it.

They're going with Demko just to piss Don off. |

Ideally Markstrom & TT could get signed to shorter term deals, 3 years. |

That is what the noise outside says
If you are moving on from Jake Gauds and Stecher that 8 mil turns to a lot less.
I think Hogs and OJ will be Canucks next year . IMO |

Would be an ideal scenario. Buys Hog, DiPietro some time.

He should. But I'm highly skeptical of anything that's released to the media during any negotiation. It could just be a prod for the agent to sit his ass down at the negotiation table to help things get done quicker. It it a super short off season window.

I just think they’ve got a chance to maximize their career income at this point, they’re not going to pass that up. Toffoli’s already won a championship, money is key here I believe. |

In normal years that would be the case. This not a normal year. I believe a lot of teams are going to look at ELC this year. |

Read your last post! How the fack do you know how teams business models are going to work with limited or no gate revenue? This won't be a typical off season 'boy". |

Bettman's Coyotes are 1 of them, also read somewhere that Florida and New Jersey were also in trouble |

I just don’t believe either will gamble on shorter term deals, they’ll both want to cash in on their situation, just my opinion. There are teams with money that will give it to them, there always is. |

Definitely could be posturing but I honestly don't think many teams are going to get into long term rich contracts with free agents.
I am not sure what teams are going to be handing out four plus years contracts north of 5 mil.
