Carolina should be there, no wait maybe the Flyers? - nyisles7
You do not want to admin the Isles have holes and they get exposed against a team like Tampa. Tampa is another level up from Philly or the Caps. |

And ??? Is it a best of 3 ? We lost 8-2, and now lost 2-1 in a game we dominated. This is going to be a test of attrition for each team. Our pp sucks, and that's huge. If that changes with some luck, the game changes - cdn_Isles_fan
Not sure I agree with the dominated description certainly not in the 3rd period but ok I like your positivity. |

Yeah it’s great to see them in the ECF but embarrassing to see them playing like this. - Cptmjl
I thought they played a great game, aside from not taking shots when they had them. Completely shut down their PP and limited most quality shots other than the GWG. Win next game and they’re still in only down 2-1. Lose it and no doubt done. |

PP failed them and they lost the game because of it.
Give Tampa for their PK too. Tampa needs 2 more to take it. |

That’s part of what quantifies the islanders playing a good game for me. They also were pretty terrible in the 3rd imo against a team with a shortened bench. |

I always assumed that his crossed arms were a sign of him struggling to keep in his kegel balls. |

You just cannot have players like Eberle and Beau kept off the scoreboard and hope to beat Tampa. You need everyone going to have a real chance. |

Just like my fellow Islander colleague said he’s just the kind of guy that you want to walk up to and punch in the face. |

They definitely are. That said, IMO, Tampa didn't win this game, the Isles lost it. The Isles are clearly over-finessing their game offensively. They were unquestionably the better team tonight and even before Point went out were winning most of the battles.
Let's just hope they show a bit more desperation in their offensive game and start throwing more rubber |

Wasted opportunity. That’s how you lose in the playoffs have to capitalize when you have the chance. They did not. |

Tampa lost in the first round the last couple of years and they were supposed to win it all.
BS doesn’t win, that’s why they play the games and you have to win 4 to win.
Maybe the league can let the Oilers play the last couple games for the Islanders because they have 2 great star forwards. Come on that’s just foolish.

You have to recognize a must win and the Isles were passing the puck around like it was a preseason game. Isles had everything going to win this game and blew it. |

It hurts, no doubt. I'll look at it as a conventional playoff series. Tampa won the first two 'home' games. Isles need to take the next two. If they don't, we'll likely look back on this one first |

I hope we can put Ladd back on the sidelines now and wouldn't be opposed to Toews taking a seat. |

Thats the defensive game they needed to play but they had nothing on the rush like previous series. Tampas stars came through, Norris nominee, vezna winner and art ross winner |

Tampa had to learn how to play. The talent was always there. Isles have the coaching and structure but are lacking in high end offensive talent. Oilers have two star forwards but are lacking in other key areas. - ses111
The islanders scorers have to score. In order to do that they have to shoot which they refuse to do. That 5 on 3 was a complete joke watching them pass along the perimeter for the entire 38 seconds of it. Honestly if I were trotz I’d sit Eberle and throw mdc in there (frank) it. |

Throw Boychuck back in. At least it shouldn’t be too hard to sign Toews now he’s shooting himself in the foot. |
