I thought it was even stranger that the Pageau line with Ladd on it was out on that last shift when they were fairly terrible all night. Definitely a questionable move. - Cptmjl
Barry is a great coach but like all coaches he can make some strange lineup decisions. |

Trying to understand the inserting Ladd into the line up decision and I am having a real hard time with it. Having an even harder time understanding why he was out there for that last shift |

He wasn't terrible but he didn't stand out either. This is where you hop a bellows or wahlstrom can slide in next year and give jg some more talent |

Absolutely. We need one of those two to step in and contribute next season both of course would be even better. |

I think I slept 30 minutes last night. I cannot believe we let that game get away. Between Ladd in the game and on the PP, Toews horrific icing play, Bailey missing a wide open net, not scoring on a 5 minute major b/c we pass the puck until we lose possession, not scoring on a 5-on-3 for same reason, ... that was one of the most frustrating games of my Islanders Fandom.. and it's been a LOOOOOONG painful Fandom.
what? why? how? Why is Beau the only one who shoots? Why does Leddy REFUSE to pass it to Pulock on the PP? WHY THE FCK WAS LADD ON THE ICE IN THE LAST SHIFT? |

I’m with you on this post in its entirety. I like everyone else am happy to be where we are so let’s just establish that before this leads to the usual knee jerk reactionary posts. Yesterday was a wasted opportunity. I know some posters say we dominated that game I didn’t see that. We were chasing our tails in the third against a team that had nine forwards. We couldn’t get anything to the net save for some shots that were anything more than low % never going to go in scoring opportunities. Really hope to see them throwing everything at the net next game. |

Honestly think Goodrow’s cross check to the back of Nelson’s neck was more disgusting and he should be suspended for this series. It was a clear intent to injure. |

I can't find the stat now, but I saw something showing that teams that don't score at least on goal on a 5 minute major penalty usually lose the game. They were given big opportunities and let the game slip away. |

It's a head scratcher for sure. I trust MDC more at this point. Barry seems to like MDC's defense and MDC is good in puck battles so it's even stranger. |

Does not get any more frustrating then last night game. It was a golden opportunity to tie up the series. |

I stand by this has been a very successful season regardless of what happens this series. Yesterday should have been a win though. No two ways around it and I also do not think we dominated. |

Trotz obviously has a way better understanding of wtf is going on in his room so there were reasons for what he did of course but I look at Ladd as someone you have to put in due to injuries. Not someone you put in when you have other options to jump start a team that desperately needs a win against a really good team. |

Ladd looked completely lost on the gwg. Wasn't his fault, but he was in a position to read the play and perhaps pinch down but didn't. Perhaps if he had played more than a few games this year, he would of, but it's awfully awkward to step into the ECF against an opponent like TB when you've been out 95% of the year |

I agree Cpt. Has Ladd even played at all since Hockey has been back? |

That’s the way I look at it also. With that said this team is capable to climb back into this and at the very least make it a series. |

Noticed you were visiting over in the leafs thread. I went in there a little hot last night after that guy posted his “non troll” laughing face. The best though was the guy who said to me “if it’s all fun, why are you calling one our top 50 posters a piece of shti?” 😂😂 |

That was hysterical. I don’t think you had any reason to be apologetic to those mouth breathers. They always run away with some BS narrative to justify whatever horse crap they’re doing in another teams thread and super impose whatever it is they’re doing on someone else. Threaten another poster with a ban because they have their own private ref for exactly what they’re doing. Like saying I was trolling. Rinse repeat. Give me a break. Like a bunch of adolescent girls. I wouldn’t have made amends for something they were clearly guilty of but that’s just me.

When you type something out like that is when you know you need a break from hockeybuzz . Cringe worthy |

I went in there to go at it w that seagull guy but they all piled on and I got a little more angered. I thought it was funny but some of those guys are so fuking sensitive. Others are actually reasonable. I’d love to see their ranking of top 50. I’m sure someone keeps track 😆😆. Hilarious. |

Anyone notice Ladd's pathetic effort to stop that Kuch goal. He stood there with his stick in the air. A lazy wave of this twig could have broken up that cross ice pass. Ladd just doesn't seem to care one bit anymore. |
