Not according to TSN.
Honestly, they need to just reduce the season games and get any type of gate revenue. - Aaron_85
How?
I only see a few teams being allowed to attempt it by their local and state governments:
Tampa
Carolina
Columbus (maybe)
Florida
St. Louis???
Vegas
Dallas
Nashville???
Minnesota???
Arizona (although you won't notice!)
At what point does it make more economic sense to take a pass on the year? |

The old guard?
Same with that recent one with the thor actor (helmsworth?), where he has to protect the kid.
Nice action, some great camera work. Entertaining - Fakepartofme
That's the one. Better premise than product, but it was fine. I've heard the Hemsworth one is decent as well. |

only the cup does matter.
But watching your team go on a run....is still a lot of fun.
Maybe one day we'll experience it again.
But
Until then we are stuck in our hard reality....which is "always next year."
- Fakepartofme
Will there be a next year? Canada going to open the boarder or is it bubble hockey all year? |

They’ll bubble up before passing on the year. I think there’s already been discussions with PA on this. |

how the leafs could fit A Piet, while keeping the 4
need 2 dirt cheap 4th liners and move Freddy for a goalie that makes 3mil
Out AJ and Engvall.
not easy

Could also trade Kerfoot and Holl.
Losing Kerfoot would hurt the 3C and would need a replacement but losing Holl is no loss. |

There isn't a point where that's an option. Gate revenue is a drop in the bucket compared to TV deals. They need to keep playing to keep fans interested and those going. |

The honest answer was this season. Minimum.
The economic one? When someone passes away directly from attending or being a part of the game.
Also, gate revenue is hopeful. I stand corrected. It's unlikely but the teams also need ANY revenue so if they are on tv they hopefully also can get merch sales or whatever. The fans in the stands at pro sports events in the USA will be predicated on how the NFL implements it.
Problem is, NFL has to worry about one day a week.

Sign Simmonds for $1M
Re-sign Spezza
Trade Andersen for picks
Trade Johnsson and Engvall for Georgiev.
bring up Bracco? - PatC80
Isn’t it Simmonds or Spezza? If so, I take the Spezz. Also. I don’t want AP if $3.2 doesn’t guy us a good goalie. I also want a better 3rd line C and would pay a bit for it. |

I honestly don't think Simmonds will play like at all this year. I don't think he's worth bringing in for anything. I don't know how he will give any kind of presence or leadership from the pressbox.
In addition, I'd enjoy AP being a leaf but I am not really wanting to spend all that cap space on him and sacrifice somewhere else.

Simmonds at $1M is manageable. Also, bring back Spezza at the same salary..

Simmonds deserves $700,000 or whatever the league minimum is. Same as Spezza. If they want to be a leaf and win here then that's the price range. The 4th line needs to be 2.5 million and under. Prefer to be 2.2 and under.

Too many goalies available to pay a 1st rounder for Murray.
Freddy can maybe get a 2nd rounder wit his amazing 1 million in cash deal - RogerRoeper
leafs should package their 2nd with freddie to get a high 1st. Maybe Minny? |

While I agree, and still think he will resign with St Loius, there are no good other dmen out there that will make the impact the Leafs need.
Maybe Parayko, but that would be a big cost if they even trade him.

I honestly think it is a mistake to sign AP and have Holl in our top 4. Injuries happen and if AP goes down, we are left with Holl as our best RD? we need 2 RD, not just 1. I'd rather 2 players that make up AP's salary and have Holl on the 3rd pairing. |

They will make an impact by just being better defensively than what we have. Give me 2 of: Ekblad, Pesce, Tanev, Brodie, Severson, Manson, DeMelo, Parayko, Gudas, Hamonic, Hamilton, Brodin, Weegar, Savard or Larsson. |

Instead of this, the adjustment id make to accomplish somethign similar would be to trade Kerfoot. Maybe sign Rodrigues for a low cap hit, keep Johnsson. Kerfoot is a crappy centermen anyhow. - Archaic

Holl and muzzin were pretty good together, I would keep him for now.
Id rather trade Dermot and put Sandin in his place |
