I don't know, really. I'm guessing maybe either try and package Voracek for one, or sign TJ Brodie. His last contract was 4.65 mil per year, so I don't know if they'd want to invest that kind of money or not that they would need to, in him.

No offense but based on your posts, there is a lot of things you don't know or realize. Starting with understanding the Flyers cap picture.

If you want to trade Jake, fine, but propose a reasonable trade that make sense for both teams.

No team is gonna give you a 1st or quality young players for a very good, but not great, aging RW with 4 years left at 8.25 million per.

So again, what’s the deal? Are you trading him for a Dman. Ok, are you ok with either going 4/4/1 in the ED or losing one of your top 4 D instead? A sniper, a guy who routinely scores 35+ goals each year. Again, who has that guy and is willing to deal him for Jake?

There is a reason that these type of deals rarely happen in this cap era. They are hard deals to make. Could Voracek get dealt? It’s possible, but it’s highly unlikely.

Any trade of Voracek is likely going to have a large cap hit players coming back. People see a trade of Voracek as clearing cap space to spend it elsewhere and disregarding the potential of having to take a contract back.

Jack Adams voting was a joke. Just seeing Torts at such a distant 3rd shows how ridiculous it was.

My ballot:
1. Torts
2. AV
3. Cassidy

I think this would be one rare deal that maybe could happen. I swear I saw he would waive his NMC or that he wouldn’t mind a change of teams, but one guy who I would *maybe* move Jake for, and it would require more pieces than just Jake. But Oliver Ekman-Larsson for Jake. This is the type of deal that could work cap wise, they aren’t far apart. This is the type of deal that allows you to maybe dangle say Myers or Sanheim if you really want to get a forward to replace Jake. Or to get a sniper.

So Toffoli is going to sign a UFA contract for 3 years and for 5M a year? Thanks, you've told me everything I need to know.
- MJL

Since I've told you everything you need to know....his current contract is 3 years at 13.8 million with a $350,000 signing bonus and an AAV of $4.66. He might very well want more than 5 mil in his next contract. So be it. I don't think he'll want less than 3 years, 5 mil per year. Do you?

Get outta here with your logic and reason. I prefer EA NHL 21 GM's and their trade proposals.

I would have been fine with this as well.

Cassidy winning was a joke. He shouldn't have even been nominated.

By reports, Ekman-Larsson is in decline and is just starting a deal with an 8.25M cap hit that has 7 years left on it. Why would the Flyers want to do that? Why would the Flyers want to trade one of their top young defenseman when they have forward help in the pipeline?

That is not what I said in any way. What I said was that is one type of deal you may be looking at if you trade jake. But hey dont let the facts get into the way

Is this the best you can do? create a false narrative?

Did I propose that trade and say it is something the flyers should do? yes or no?

Has Myers surpassed Sanheim in his development and overall play?

Just a thought that came up after reading Ek's "rumor" of potential talks between Toronto and Flyers.

What reports? Not doubting but I haven’t read or seen any negative stuff on OEL. I’m not saying the Flyers should trade Sanheim or Myers. I don’t want to move either. But I’d say Sanheim and Myers have similar style to OEL. I just mentioned it as a point since the main concern for moving Jake is replacing his production. We may have forward help in pipeline but not with the size and skill of Jake (imo). Regardless, this was all hypothetical as a rare deal. Really just illustrates the difficulty of trading a guy like Jake.

The reports are out there. I'll ask again, why would the Flyers want to get into that contract? What we're seeing is suggestions of deals that aren't well thought out and aren't considering all of the details. Hypothetical or not.

All I saw was he had a down year compared to his normal self. So he had a down year and he’s in decline? Guys can’t bounce back? He’s a strong two way defensemen who eats minutes. And a good PP QB (assuming Ghost is traded) and plays the PK. Braun is gone, Nisky is likely gone the next year. You’d have OEL as your vet moving forward and as a partner for Provy. Jesus man there you go again acting like the mighty powerful decider of everything lol. Take it easy once and while. OEL’s deal is 3 years longer than Jake and salary cap will absolutely go up by then. You’re acting like this deal is so absurd which it’s not. Since you’re some genius, let’s hear a Jake Voracek deal from you. You seem to have such an amazing pulse on trades and players, so please share
