Our 33rd was Wednesday and we were still simmering from first really big fight in years. All good now but I do keep a count on the contents of the knife drawer. (We never really fight) - Canada Cup

I think I would be surprised if SDA makes it. I live in Peterborough and have been to a handful of games, just have never been impressed with him overall.
Guys that are interesting who the leafs drafted after the first round:Robertson (obviously), Abramov, Kokkonen and Hollowell. I think they all have a chance of making the NHL. - matt1337
Really talented player.
Also I like Abruzzee
Apparently Hollander has NHL potential as well. |

Yes I get that, think about this.
If we spend 81m on our players and get Hossa, we still don’t have anymore room to spend money as we spent our 81m already and put Hossa on LTIR. - Garnie
I know, where's cap space to slide Hossa in
But now you have Hossa $$$ to use
81m+ Hossa is what you can spend
Well that's how I understand it to be.
It's like one of those math test question
if a train leave Chicago at 2pm and a train leave New York at 1pm,
when will they meet halfway in to their journey. |

The NHL has confirmed Oct. 9 as the opening day of free agency. That means the Blues and Pietrangelo have less than a month to reach a deal. As I've written recently, there has been no progress. Things can change in a hurry, but it doesn't look promising at the moment. #stlblues
So...if he reaches FA who can offer the sheer amount of money in the next 2-3 years as the Leafs can?
only a few I'd say. |

2 weeks ago I'd say he is a Blue for sure...Seems like the negotiations aren't going well and if it is this way come OCT 8th I'd bet Dubas jumps on this chance and signs him.
Doubt Dubas would gut the depth for him though.
Probably would have to get a decent return for Nylander in order for that to happen.
Would keep tabs on the situation though.
Scott Laughton, Morgan Frost and a 1st/2nd? IF Leafs sign Petro I'd consider something like that. |

Both rogers and bell have taken hits to revenue and profit this year. Both seem to be hoarding cash.
They might actually want to backload the bonuses. With escrow uncertainty and salary deferrals - players may be okay with receiving cash later too.
But who knows. poop is so unpredicable right now. |

With the Lehner news, I wonder where MAF goes? Maybe Edmonton or Colorado? |

Only team not to cut staff salary
I repeat. The only team.
Leafs aren’t worrying about cash right now. |
