a rielly trade / sign krug scenario seems a little tempting to me. maybe in a package deal with andersen.

but i think the better play is to keep rielly long-term and pass on krug.

I tend to believe this, not even sure how long the recovery will take. There will be a handful of rich owners that may spend some money, but NHL players will be hating the word Escrow even more than they do now. They may never see that 20% getting lopped off next season. As long as Eagleson is not the Escrow Agent.

Hart is a good prospect, I am not convinced that he is the best young goalie in the game though. Matthews is starting to look really good, added a significant amount of physical prowess. Might be the best player the Leafs have ever had and he's 22 years old. He would easily be the best player in that trade and hard to win a trade when you are not getting the best player back.

I honestly think they will. Leafs are probably in the minority this season where cap$ is more important to them than actual $. Less than a handful of teams are in that position.
