Coyle is a good #2. He is in the same boat as Krec, they can't figure out who's going to play with him. If the #2 and #3 lines could get some consistency in personnel then maybe some chemistry could be generated. Consistently flipping around personnel on both lines does neither any good but that has been our curse for years now...finding stable linemates for Krec. If that ever happens (unlikely now based upon anticipated time left for Krec), then you can juggle personnel on the 3rd and 4th lines all you want.

high is a "good #2"?
Krecji has averaged 61 pts over an 82 game season. Coyle has averaged 41 pts over an 82 game season and his BEST year at 56 pts is below Kercji's avg.
Coyle is a good #3 and can play at #2 - but not sure I can call him a "good #2". The stats do not support this.
All that aside, this stems from my response to the post saying Coyle is "a good replacement for Bergeron". He is not - does not come close. My correction was more accurate - he is a decent
injury-replacement for Bergeron. No way he could handle it more than short-term.
