What is knit picking, wanting a QB to improve on his mistakes cause it will only make him and the team better. You only get better as a player or team by critiquing your mistakes and improving on them.

Yep there’s certainly a couple of asshats here. Josh isn’t accurate - yet he throws for 72%. Josh isn’t clutch - he leads the league in 4th quarter comebacks Over the last 2 years. Yeah, he needs to stop fumbling but he’s thrown a whole 3 interceptions in the last 11 months.

He also avoids sacks in the pocket, and creates positive plays That only he and Jackson can make.

Yeah the jets suck, but they’re great vs the run (#2 last year) and the Bills went in winning or dying with Allen. They handed off to a run for the first time in quarter 2. They won. Know who Also sucks, Washington and Jacksonville. How’s Philly and Indy doing today.

I am sure his OC and QB coach are critiquing his first game. I haven't seen many people pointing out all the different receivers he hit besides my enlightened self
a few pointed out his being more comfortable in the pocket. Few pointed out this is his first game, no preseason. I am often skeptical of Allen but when credit is due, it is due. The guy moved the ball really well in the first half and the 4th quarter. It seems many on here cannot enjoy a nice thing.

But, if we are into critiquing I will save this post for when the Sabres season starts and how many act like Catholic priests at confession where many on here forgive EVERYTHING Skinner and Reinhart do.

As long as he doesn’t turn the ball over the Bills will be fine. They have too many weapons on offence and can’t beat you too many ways.

Beane has done a solid job at building that roster from top to bottom.

Allen will never be elite, doesn’t have to be, he just can’t bring them down.

If he can be a more mobile version of Alex Smith that would be ideal.

My issue is that on a game to game basis daboll calls a play where Allen has a Wide open WR ....... and Allen over throws it by 10 yards.

The last years giants game, bengals game last year, jets game week 1, many more examples from last year, and this years jets game

He needs to hit on a few of those.

That separates Allen from being an above average qb ..... to being elite.

Sure, and the only thing that has changed from game 12 of Allen to game 29 is the supporting cast.

The Bills will win the AFC East and a home wild card game.

If Allen takes care of the football they very well may play an AFC Championship game.

I have seen a large enough sample size to know that Allen will be a starter in this league and provide serviceable QB play but his mechanics and accuracy will keep him from being a top 5-10 QB.
