We are all here guessing , complaining or cheering but the fact is there is not one of us who can actually do one thing about it.
See nice and calm

There never is anything we can do about any sport we watch and cheer for, doesn’t stop it though, and why should it, half the fun is chatting and debating about the “what if’s”.
Please provide your evidence on how cap not spent (savings) can carry over to another season and be cumulative. People are waiting for your smart answer.
But before you respond here's something to ponder. Cap not spent each season remains in that season. There are budget teams that do that to remain far below or at the floor. Then there are cap teams that spend at or near the cap to maximize their competitive potential for that season. Each season a team's cap space is changing because of contacts coming off and others taking effect. A Capologist is someone who specifically tracks this to determine new contract adds in a team strategy.
The Canucks as posted, when we started this back and forth, are reported to be a cap not budget team for next season.

Honestly I am calm. I am not trying to to stop anyone from saying things.
Truth is I realize that the opposite opinions keep these boards alive, and truthfully people get more upset with my opposite opinion than I do with theirs. I heard they even started another thread
For next season it could be tricky, be interesting to see what they do. - Pacificgem
What makes this off season more unpredictable is the flat cap and Covid market reality. Add Expansion draft and certain expiring contracts in key positions and there are a lot of ways things can go.

Are you a paid capologist? - NuckUp
Don't spend to the max cap and then you have savings for late season shenanigans or for the following season, you snowflake.
Now I'm a capologist.

Twisting your answer to in-season cap flexibitliy moves is not what you advocated. YOU wanted not to spend cap on trades or signings because you THOUGHT you can save cap to add next season to sign Petey and Hughes. But don't admit how wrong or what your true intentions are in doing this. Just you stay you.
If you’re not cheatin you’re not tryin son. I’ve been a Hawks fan since I was a kid, although Dan Marino was my favorite player; it’s hard to argue with Brady’s record, a great great QB.
