Habs trade away Danault and his crazy demands in a package for a good RW and keep Domi on a 1 year, 4.5M contract. BUT instead of Domi playing as third line centre, a transformed Ryan Poehling surprises everyone at camp and takes the spot. Moving Domi back to the wing.

I think prices for mid-tier guys will go down bigly - price and contract length. I expect a lot of these guys to sign 1-2 year contracts and try to get their money when things stabilize again.

Cap crunch/flat cap + reports of lots of teams trying to shed money to stay under the cap for the next few years.

If MB signs him for that, he will overpay by a lot in what the market will look like in a few weeks.
