I don't see Romanov playing more than 55-60 games, assuming an 82 game season, that is why I am not sure Mete is dealt (unless part of a bigger package).

I feel that keeping Kulak, Romanov, Fleury and Juulsen as options for the last pairing and the 7th defenseman spot is not that risky.

I thought that Fleury was doing well for most of the last season, his first, in the 3 RD spot and I don't see why he could not do it the coming year as his stamina and consistency could really well grow.

Great post! I love this deal... even if they don't sign him, the Habs are pro-active! Love it. As for the help up front, don't forget that alot of RFA are arbitration eligible... some teams may opt to not sign them and would become UFAs... hoping for Mantha, Duclair, or something in those lines. We might be in for a real surprise!

I think maybe coz Fleury plays physical but high risk style which may put the team in trouble while going for big hit, Mete was already playing for most of regular season so he carried over , as for Ouellet maybe he had more experience from his Detroit days

He’s no elite. But he’s no bad.

He’s physical and defensive. He’s like an upgraded Alzner when he was good with Washington.
He’s not scared to drops the gloves for the team. He can clear net and play PK.

Of course we didn’t grab Petroangelo or Karlsson but it’s still an upgrade over Kulak and Mete and maybe even Charriot. Hopefully he is place in good position which means a 4-5th D. 15 to 18mins average.

I'm not too sure about that. Kulak could bery well become the next Petry imo. give him a few years, look at their stats and style of play at the same age.
