If Martin signs with the Rangers you wish him the best besides when he’s playing us. He made a pus for himself in the playoffs but he’s a player for a group of young guys that aren’t there yet. Perfect fit for the Rangers really.

Martin would be a good fit and the Isles cannot overpay because the Rangers have interest. Just would hate Ross having to take on Martin.

Ironically, Martin has been far more valuable these playoffs than Eberle.........who makes more than twice as much.

Isles philosophy (or so it seems) has been to pay more for higher end low level players, than to pay high end top line players big dollars. Who is our current highest paid player and what is the amount?

I disagree. Lou went and traded for him to bring back to isles and also brought him into TO first. He obviously likes something about him. I’d be ok w resigning him for 1yr $1M. He’s hardly injured **knocks on wood ** and he’s such a great guy and teammate.

I disagree. Lou went and traded for him to bring back to isles and also brought him into TO first. He obviously likes something about him. I’d be ok w resigning him for 1yr $1M. He’s hardly injured **knocks on wood ** and he’s such a great guy and teammate.

Forget about the 1 million it’ll be for more than one year and that’s exactly why (I hope) Lameriello won’t sign him. Always liked Martin even though I hated admittedly us trading for him and helping the Leafs but his time has come unfortunately.
