You want to give a young player a chance to play and make the team. However that doesn't always happen. You always need a veteran or two to fall back on. Another issue that is going to affect things is what is going to happen with the AHL. If they don't play than that could factor in also. - MJL
I like Raffl and...Laughton. NAK isn’t a rookie now and most of the prospects from college like Laczynski and Allison and evening Sandin are a little older.

Didn’t think about the ahl not playing. Was considering if patty didn’t start the season. Scott could be center but it could also be tanner or frost. Uncle Nate is an old pro that can still keep up and is chasing that dream as a hard working 4 th liner. Coaches love players like that too. War of attrition. Agree. Every team needs and has players like him. |

Well he's certain that Sam won't be playing with the Flyers in the short term. Past that is just speculation. Kid could pull through. - easY
Sam's done. I doubt AHL has a season. It sucks but I dont have high hopes for an NHL career for him.
His best shot honestly is to be traded to a team like DET or OTT where hes guaranteed to make the team |

I get it. Lindblom is back which cancels one of the three ufas. If they plan an 82 game season there will be a lot of games in short stretches. So guessing a v will plan the committee again like this past season. Nate is a known. But numbers will be important. |

Yeah. Our roster is harder and harder to crack. If/when he gets up to playing GB speed again. If there is no ahl he may want to head overseas for a year. |

A known stiff. The fascination with 4th line slugs is funny |

Yep, Morin definitely needs to play. Weird year but they need to find a way.

I don't think he's guaranteed a spot in the AHL let alone NHL. He could try lower leagues and see where it goes but he didn't look like he was ready for the NHL in the few regular season games I saw. |

Gotta say Luke Schenn is looking pretty valuable right now for Tampa. Could be a good cheap option for Philly next season. Not sure how he'd do anchoring the kids though. |

Sounds like it a little. Which makes sense for any agin guy. Shortly after that quote he did also throw JVR and Jake into the mix along w G. I did like AV saying he wants to help these guys and he thinks he can improve their game still. |

I think they need another vet because of how young the D is. May be able to include Hagg in a trade for one that's better than a 6/7. |
