In lieu of the traditional exit day interviews with the media -- in which all players speak, sometimes a few at a time, individual ones for the bigger names -- they are doing a series via teleconference. Really nothing hard to figure out. The impending UFAs and RFAs speak, too.

Agree about Covid and family. personally I don’t think giroux has conditioning issue. If I remember correctly, before the season started an article interviewing Giroux’s physical trainer released and was all about them upping his routine and how Giroux seemed even more focus than usual.

I remember the articles, I think G probably lost a step during Covid, new family with a great chance to really hang with them. Plus less access to normal workout and normal competitive push. I don't think he lost a lot but at his age and the speed of the game, that little edge would be huge.
