I’m pretty impressed by Dallas. Beating the Aves (injury issues aside) and then Vegas.
Hot goaltending, budding superstar #1 D and a nice mix of forwards.

Watching them makes me want the Flyers to get more Finns!

Same here. I'm really surprised. Not sure if it's just that I was not aware of them enough or that they're just jelling at the correct time. I really thought that the Avs were going to come out of the west. Stars beat two very good teams.

I doubt they even have to play hardball.

Gonna be a musical chairs frenzy at the start of free agency, a total buyer's market. Anybody who doesn't get snapped up at the start risks taking a huge pay cut. Elliott would be doing himself a favor to get something worked out now.

while that appears to be true he was caved in pretty much the whole playoff. He won a lot of draws but I have never seen so many won draws turn into the other teams possession. Some of that is on the 5 but It seemed he put everything into one move to win the draw and he couldn't make the next move or tie up the center. They really need a prospect to step in and play really well at 4c

I'm hoping Rubtsov could be that prospect. You don't necessarily need the experienced vet in the regular season.

I really thought the Avs were going to pull it out. Dallas seemed to fall apart for a few games. Really interesting what will happen in the finals but I think Tampa takes it.

Could you imagine the rage in this fan base had Flyers signed aged 35 years old Perry and 36 years old Pavelski?

Dallas lost to Blues by one goal last year, they just kept getting better.

With a 3.25 and 7 million cap hit respectively they couldn't have done it if they wanted to.

My point was not about the cap hit.
