It’s the only pick that makes sense unless a team offers something stupid to move up. |

This kid has character. He wants to win and others seem to draw confidence from his intensity and drive. He is the kind of player Ranger fans will love. He has all the skill in the world but still plays the body and does not hesitate to get his nose dirty.
He may not be up to Crosby’s skill level but he certainly matches him for intensity and is not as far behind on the skill level either. |

The only way I trade the #1 is in a blockbuster of epic proportions. Like, 3 and Tkachuk for 1 |

Does not work for Ottawa. Lafreniere is good but that price would not work for Dorian. He adores big physical players and he thinks Tkachuk is the kind of player a team needs to win a Stanley Cup |

I think the top 8 is going to be very unsurprising this year. #1-3 are locks. #4-8 might go in a slightly different order -- Rossi, Drysdale, Perfetti, Raymond, Holtz is how I currently see it going -- but if any one of those guys drops out of the top 8, I'd be surprised. |

Until the Rangers trade up into the top 8 with their 2nd pick and take Lias part 2 |

Of course not, but thats what it would take to make the Rangers even consider trading the pick. |
