If Tampa wins on Thursday I hope he slides down the ice on his stomach and knocks them all over like bowling pins when they line up for the hand shake. |

Varlamov with a .970 SP. Not too shabby for a shat signing, eh captn? Lol
Ebs scores an easy layup and this forum thinks he's on fire. SMH....
Good to see JB's physical play and pass/shot blocking back in the lineup. He made a difference last night. |

Settle down no one said eberle is on fire however he tends to be streaky and maybe he gets a few more now. |

Also cleared the front of the net in his limited ice time which is something the islanders have been unable to do since the philly series. His one knock is his speed against Tampa which is kind of a big deal but with Casey out rolling with 7 D may be the best bet for the rest of the series. Having the last change next game will be huge for us and will help Trotz to play him to his strengths.
We won and I couldn’t be more ecstatic about that but I really hope we see a more energized and engaged team next game. Tampa certainly will be and we need to at least match it but if we could somehow supersede it even better. Love to see this go to 7. |

I couldn’t agree more with this post. Let’s also hope Brayden Pointe doesn’t play.
Surprised the NBCSN analysts didn’t show the Hedman goal for the 287th time after the win. I’ve never seen a team get as little respect as the isles. The blatant disrespect to be talking about Cooper Vs Bowman next round is inexcusable. We get it, you don’t think the isles belong there, but phuck me let them play first. |

Have a feeling he’ll be back he’s obviously got some kind of a nagging injury. They probably wanted to rest him with a 3-1 cushion yesterday already thinking of the finals but if he can go at all on Thursday he’ll be back in. They don’t want this going to 7 games Tampa is going to come out like a buzz saw Thursday. |

Yeah it’s kind of ridiculous but in all honesty Tampa has been playing like a team possessed and we haven’t imo. I get why they’re assuming but it doesn’t make it any less douchey and to me a bit unprofessional but that’s coming from an islanders fan of course. |

It’s unprofessional. They were even picking who was gonna score the OT winner for Tampa. Lol. Tampa is the better team on paper but so were the Russians in 1980. It’s why you play... |

Yeah, that came off a bit more Richard-ish than I was going for. More of a jokey jab. Anyhow, been rooting for the Isles since...well...you know when.
Here's hoping for a win - and maybe just a wee injury to Kucherov - in game six!
Good luck.

I was Bear hunting all day yesterday, but managed to listen to most of the game (2nd period on) last night.
Damn near hit the ditch with my truck when Eberle buried Lee’s pass. |
