Settle down no one said eberle is on fire however he tends to be streaky and maybe he gets a few more now.

Since when has accuracy been a thing in this forum? Everyone else reads 2 words and makes the rest up, so why can't I?

No

Are you kidding me? He has been pretty crappy in this series you can’t deny it.

Yep. One layup, 2 on 1 goal doesn't erase how pathetic he's been. What I found more impressive is he took and gave some hard hits (for a light weight) last night. I guess moving him to a checking line had the desired effect.

Glad we finally got Boychuk back on the lineup. While i don't think he had a particularly good regular season, I think he brings precisely what we've been missing on the blueline.
First off, behind Pulock, he has the hardest shot on the team. Through the first four games, it became obvious we desperately need someone else who can throw some hard shots on net.
Second, his physicality has been something we've really lacked. Our blueline isn't going to outskate Tampa's talented forwards but we can pummel them physically and stay positionally responsible. I do think his addition can change things a bit

It absolutely did. As they said on the broadcast last night, having 7 dmen allows you to activate the defense and still have fresh legs back there. Boychuk took pucks all night and still had a smile. I’m sure with the isles younger dmen he’s a vet presence and knows what it takes.

Boychuk was a huge addition.....guy hasn’t played in how long and still ate shots all night without hesitation. Guys a warrior.

Boychuck played 12 minutes, far less than all the other d out there yesterday. That said his presence was felt in the PK for sure. As others noted clearing the front and shot blocking was totally evident. His addition also takes some ice time away from Greene and the others which was needed Imho and also takes Toews off the Pk.

reading through the comment section page by page is like watching the game all over again.. friggin riot. Great win gents... We are still fighting.. hopefully this was the momentum swing that turns this series around and Tampa is talking about that 4 minute power play for a long time.

gotta stop the idiotic icings.
Gotta stay away from Vaz glove
Gotta hope this is Eberle's heating up goal. need him to start scoring in bunches again.

Heck of a pass by Matt Martin to Barzy in OT by the way. He is having one heck of a playoff..

Varly was fantastic. his slide and the bench reaction was a riot.
