I don’t want to sound defeatist here but I’ve made my peace with this already. We had a great playoffs no matter if we lose tonight or if we can somehow shock the world and beat this team three times in a row.

If you don’t believe they have the better forwards, the more complete blue line and the better goalie than you’re just fooling yourself. Yes, I know the “better team” doesn’t always win a series in the NHL but they came into this series completely rested. I hate to say it, but going to 7 against Philly is what’s probably gonna end up biting us in the ass.

Cannot argue with this potvin. I did not expect a win before this series started. We saw some troubling things in the Philly series that Tampa seems to have exploited. Tampa is on another level of talent with the Isles and they figured out the defensive side of the game.

I can understand this potvin. I'm just more willing to try things down 3-1 even if it's a long shot. I'm just frustrated these Bridge players do not seem to be able to help and other teams have better options from their farm team. We better get some of these young players up to speed if the Cap is not going up for a few years.

Nows not the time to experiment. Win tonight and you get into their heads a bit. Look what happened when we lost game 5 to Philly. Islanders fans (of course) were already thinking we’d blow it. Mostly, the same team got swept by Columbus last year so it’s not out of the realm a loss tonight could rattle them a bit.

I still felt good when we lost game 5 to Philly and I still felt confident after the Game 6 loss. This series has a different feel to it.

Lol, wasn’t talking about the group here. More, the Twitter crowd.

Call me crazy, wouldn’t mind a 3rd line of Brass-Pageau-Dal Colle.
Put Komarov with Martin and Clutter
Hate to say it, keep top 6 the way it is. It is what it is with Eberle right now. 2nd line is buzzing, I don’t want to break them up.

Might as well try these potvin. I like the idea of Barry changing things up this game but I'm not sure it will matter. The most important thing is the Isles actually playing defense on guys and not letting Tampa roam free in the Isles zone.

I don’t want to keep getting on Toews, but he’s playing his way out of a contract. With guys like Dobson and Wilde coming up maybe you don’t pay Toews.

Toews has been lousy no two ways around it. Toews should give back money on his next deal. Maybe be needs more fine coaching in Bridge?

Toews will be signed but he’s not getting anywhere near what he was looking at before stepping into Toronto. That’s a positive I guess. It’s his first rodeo I’m not exactly concerned with him from a developmental stand point after this. Hopefully it’s a good learning experience for him and he grows from it as a player. That’s all I got.

No getting soft Cpt. Toews played last year. This is his 2nd rodeo.

He’ll be fine. He wasn’t good against philly I know and Tampa is a buzz saw right now. He’s got some playoff experience let’s see what he does with it. The good thing is now Lameriello has more leverage with his next contract he’ll be getting signed as he should. There’s no way they’re throwing Dobson or god forbid Wilde into a full time slot next season nor should they.

Dobson may play after they trade Leddy in order to make room to Sign Barzal, Toews and Pulock even though we have plenty room as far as Cap space

He’ll play in spots and hopefully he’ll play himself into a full time role but that’s far from a given. Wouldn’t surprise me if he started in the AHL in all honesty and was the first call up.

I think 3 years 3 Mill should do it.

If y'all are done talking past this years playoffs, can we now focus on tonight's game?
