Didn't work for the Avs either, It was his man that scored. - bixll
Sucks for Kadri. He was having a very good playoffs.
And the game tying and winning goals were both on him. |

WE are going to upgrade our roster. Can you have any patience and stop filling your diaper? - RogerRoeper
wishful thinking. sure, we can find a way to upgrade the defense.
but we'll probably take a downgrade in goal. or move out nylander for a package deal.
however we do it, we'll be creating one hole to fill another. |

If Dubas does get another top 4 RHD, with that team retaining 50% of the salary, it's likely gonna cost one of the big 4. We don't have another Kadri type player to trade. - PatC80
Robertson.
I'm really quite infatuated with this idea.
Think of his trade value right now - for a guy who is still very much a question mark. |

The peanut crowd would prefer Marner at a bridge deal like Point and giving Kyle Clifford a Leo Komorov like deal. There's no sense to any of this.

In 2 years BRayden Point needs a new contract. Laine actually needs one now. People always compare Marner's cap hits to guys who signed for 2-3 years. - RogerRoeper

forget clifford. we can't afford an upgrade at defense without somebody going out.
we haven't won poop and can't even afford to bring back our poopty roster from last year.
but everything is fine. - Tumbleweed

Joel, you are one of these people that spend 200dollars a week on drugs, whores, booze and cigarettes, but thinks spending 10dollars for an antibiotic or 150dollars for a doctor to help you is 'excessive'.. I know your type. Called 'parasites' - MaximusAurelius
Max, you entitled little peon, because you pretend to know random people on the internet and everything about them... Does not make it so.
Married, 3 kids. Quit smoking 3 years ago... I have an amazing benefit package which is 100% paid for by my employer because I also have the benefit of an amazing job. I don't have to pay for medication ever, and I can be in 80% of the countries on earth and see a doctor within 15 minutes. I'm tested once a week and it doesn't cost me a penny, I also have testing available for my wife and children if I snap my fingers and decide it is so.
And even with that, I am able to understand how fortunate I am given how many people have lost this year, and am not arrogant enough to decide that people should be throwing money at testing left right and centre because some insulant little poop like you decides they should. Because I know not near everyone has been as fortunate as me and a lot of people don't have that luxury.
So go back to being the piece of poop you are, just do it somewhere else. π |

Would need to add him to a deal.. On his own, they couldn't afford to take back much salary.
Also, it's far too soon to trade him |

Edmundson is apparently about to sign a 3-5 year extension in the 3.5-4 million per range.
I would think that would put Demelo in the 3 year at 3-3.5 million per range. - joel878
Edmundson is coming off two contract extensions of 3M and 3.1M respectively - so it makes sense he would be in the 3.5-4M range.
DeMelo's best contract is 900K. Not so sure if he gets 4x his previous salary but I'm willing to bet 3x is the magic number.
But who the hell knows?! I'm just spitballin' here. |

The only real one is Rantanen... With Aho, the Habs managed to screw that offer sheet up.. They actually helped the Canes. |

Yes beacuse you buy the horsepoop Freddy is a superstar who bails the Leafs out nightly. Do you have any idea how bad our goaltending was last year? It can't get worse.
Having Jack Campbell all year alone is a start in the right direction and will give us points. WE got our first point from our backup in December for (frank) sakes., |

Aho was an offersheet. Irrelevant.
Rantanen was cheaper, BUT, notice his cap hit is much closer? Because he signed for 6 as well. Marner also has better career numbers and better numbers than him last year. |

Supply and demand, his kind of player isn't in the huge supply category. I would guess there's at least a handful of teams around the league who would give him 3 million per year. Just a hunch though. π€·ββοΈ |

I'm sure now he wishes he did not. It seemed like a great deal as it was better than Carolina offered but no big RFAs had signed yet except foir Matthews

Andersen had his worst season last year, who knows if it's all downhill from here.. The great goalies continue to improve as they get older as players learn their tendencies... Can Andersen bounce back?
The 5 game sample size in the play-in round is not enough to determine that.. CBJ is not an offensively gifted team and he let in a few really, really weak goals |
