To be quite honest I don't want either player here...buf if a choice Barrie by a mile.
Build around Hughes and forget the Barrie's/Dumba's - LordHumungous
At least Dumba can play physical and play D in his own end. Barrie is just a worse, older Hughes offensive type. |

He is having a good season . Had a game today. - VANTEL
Gotta at least take a look at him next season imo. If we beat Vegas he would've manhandled Benn |

That would be my guess. Maybe when his contract is up and we know what Hoglander and Podkolzen bring but not yet.

Barrie just needs to get the hell out of TO and he'll be back to Colorado-type numbers when he was there. Dumba is just a bad deal for us all around. Trending down and he can't even outscore Edler... - LordHumungous
So Barrie's down numbers are an anomaly but Dumba's aren't? Barrie has not been a plus player in the last 5 years, even when he hit 59 points! Dude cannot defend. And on a team that needs to defend better, he's a TERRIBLE choice. |

I agree pass. I'm not big on Dumba but he is more what this team needs than Barrie.
Where would Barrie fit on the PP? Canucks play 1 on the 1st unit,,, Hughes. Barrie on the 2nd unit? Seems like a waste. Dumba sounds adequate for the 2nd unit and if they play 2 D on that unit, he could have OJ on the other side. There would be options.
Barrie is simply going to cost too much and is better suited to be a teams top PP unit than get 30 seconds a PP here.

seriously. they dont need a pp defenseman they need someone who can provide sensible offense 5v5 and is solid defensively. pay for that guy and dont throw pp1 money at someone who wont sniff it |

Trade rumours part of Brock Boeser’s world.

Leaving that door open for possibility. Not trying to trade him – but will. Haven't talked to Minny about him – but have talked to other teams

He'd be one of the best to get. Not sure if Boston is ready to send off a 23 year old RHD though.
What does Boston need? A goalie now? Forwards? |

custance said top-6 forward or equivalent left shot defense would be the ask 🤷♂️ |

It would probably start with Demko Rathbone plus a forward.

I would probably do Boeser straight up for him (if Boeser had to be moved). Either that, or a Jake/Rathbone/X package. |

more Rick on contract negotiations: "Tyler Toffoli, not done but certainly positive vibes, out of the 3 UFA's this one looks like there's something there, with work still to be done. Very quiet on the Tanev front."
