I think we did fine without Pelech tonight and can honestly say I don't think his absence played into our fortunes. Cizakas tends to be such a valuable part our transition game. That one hurt IMO, despite his sub par performance through the playoffs.

I'm surprised Casey has really struggled on the offensive side in the playoffs. You figure he would be scoring the goals and not Martin.

The Isles can't afford me under the cap.

Would you bring Martin back? At what salary and term?

- JohnScammo

If there was room I would but there isn’t any room imho.
Wouldn’t doubt he finds a home somewhere. He brings a lot of great quality’s a young team looks for.

No hit the boards behind the net after a check

Have to say I'm curious to see what Ross could do playing a full year. He shows some surprising skill at times.

Parise incoming.

I mean he would be a nice veteran addition kinda like Dallas getting Pavelski. But they would have to take Ladd and Hickey.

No thanks. At 36 and $8mm in salary, I think we can do better. I would have loved Parise 5 yeara ago, but this team needs a better option..

I can understand this keaner. Figures the Isles make a great run and most likely are finally attractive to FA's and they do not have the room.

Well, they don't need much. Lou is a master at finding affordable pieces to improve the sum of their parts. I'm plenty content to sit back and see what he does without demanding a big name

Going to be interesting keaner. Wahlstrom will be a huge help if he can work out. Have to think Bellows will be on that 3rd line with Pageau. Leo should hopefully be an extra forward. Otto should get time on the 4th line especially with Casey's injuries.

Fück Dallas and FÜCK Tampa. Rogers could collapse in upon itself 5 minutes into game one of the SCF, and I’d shed not a tear.

I was mostly being facetious. Then I remembered the Staal for Johansson trade.

Ladd for Parise (1.5 retained) it is. 👍

(frank) this team had a lot of intangibles but it was exciting and stressful and I hope they can get back there and not wait 27 more years

I still haven’t fully processed things, I probably won’t until tomorrow, but I can’t remember being so ambivalent about losing a series like this. I’m obviously upset, and I obviously realize how hard it is to get deep in the NHL playoffs but I just feel like we’ll be here again and soon.

We have great ownership, and that’s what makes successful franchises. I root for all the poopty teams around here, so I know lol. Every guy on this team will learn from this.

And, let me give Varlamov some credit. Dude looked lost just a week ago. He was fantastic when it mattered the most. If he and Sorokin are our goalies, we’re in good shape.

And, Lee is a hell of a captain. We had some fake-ass imposter of a captain before (and I don’t poop on him like most of you do, he was a great player for us) but this guy we have now just...cares. He’ll be perfect for the young guys we have coming up.
