Didn't you just say TOR is trading Nylander so they can make room for Pietrangelo? Everyone is okay with that but if we move Boeser for a top 4 Dman it is a move backwards?

In Brock's 1st season, with Bo as his centre, he scored 29 goals and hasn't reach that total since, with Elias as his centre, most of the time.

If you are going to make a significant change to the D it is going to cost Boeser.

Yup you can go that route even though Jake had more goals than Brock last year. and a difference of 9 points.


Jake would also cost 3 mil less and of course you do lose the prospect and the pick.

GM has some tough decisions.

I am not one that necessarily thinks the D needs to change I think the whole team defensive structure needs a revamp along with some tweaking the backend.
Brock would be able to get a good return if going after a quality defenseman.

If he puts up 50 points 20 goals with PP time, that imo is perfect, which I think he can easily do.

He put up 16-29-45 in 57 games with a nagging injury this year. Kid is offensively talented, we need that. At least until someone proves they can do what he does. When that happens, trade him.

The more I think about Ristolainen from Buffalo the more I’m ok with it.

I get it but Jake can put up 20 goals and 42 points for 3 mil less a year and Boeser would get a better return.

Both players switched spots on the lineup last year multiple times. Even in the playoffs Boeser seen third line duty .

I am not choosing a side of who I want more I am just saying my gut feeling is it could be Boeser the more I see stuff on Twitter. Jim did say we did not discuss Boeser for Dumba but he never came out and said we are not trading Brock.

Toffoli has hit 50 points, 30 goals once in his career. Would rather have Boeser, and with the way he talks it looks like he'll give us a discount, but lots of people are now after this season.
