Also, not a fan of the 82 game schedule.
It's clearly born out of greed.
As a player, I wouldn't agree to anymore than 70. Even less if there's some kind of bubble without family.
I don't see a need to rotate cities often if they do it right, unless they're trying to spread money throughout different areas. Theoretically they can travel "in a bubble" and have private teachers in place for kids etc.
As a union member i'd want a work/life balance. I don't think 82 games with a condensed schedule and even limited travel allows that considering the late start/carryover. - golfingsince
Maybe with this 'pandemic thingy' the schedule could be whittled down to 72 games. Actually regardless a 72 game schedule makes a whole lot more sense. |

Add another team/player to the goalie market: DET and Jimmy Howard. Howard, 36, said he was “probably not” going to continue with the Red Wings, but squashed rumours he was retiring, saying, “Someone is going to have to tell me I can’t play anymore”...
and that last year is not the way he wants to finish his career. He added he’s been training for two months in preparation, and that he’s discussed with his family the possibility of moving away for a year if somewhere close to home is not an option.

Good for him not wanting to play on a team that tanked |

I like Crisis because it's different from the rest. |

Lebrun made a good observation the other day. He said Fla has a new GM and the typical actions usually taken by new GMs is usually watch a year and see what needs to be done. He says it would be very unusual for a new GM to walk in and trade a core player like Ekblad or Barkov without getting to know the team first. He doesn't think a core player will be moved this year and I agree. |

True it is different. However I would have Even in the Quietest Moments ahead of Crisis IMO. Crime may have had 6 of their 'biggest tracks' but I always felt Breakfast was their true masterpiece. Some albums are more proggy than others but that's also what made them great. |

I like Even in the Quietest Moments. Actually, Breakfast was my least favourite. Probably because some of the songs lived on the radio at the time. It was too poppy. Plus, it came out at a time when I was diving into the Metal. |

Davies and Hodgson were going through difficult times during that time, if I remember correctly they split not long after. my favorite song on Breakfast is Child of Vision.
My favourite album is Crime of the Century, first real introduction to Supertramp and Rudy was a song I could relate to in 74-75. Fools Overture on Even in the Quietest Moments is another favourite.
In the early 80's I used to sing Dreamer to my daughter all the time, now she sings it to her daughter.
Great band, their music will live on for years. |
