Was just listening to SN650 about Podz team SKA playing in Siberia tomorrow and dressing the youngest team ever for KHL. The reason they said is CV19 ripping through the KHL. The average age for tomorrows game is 21.5 .
They also brought up the question about the AHL ? LA just sent 6 prospects this morning to play for a team in Europe. Madden was one of them.
When you see a NHL team do that you have to wonder if there will be an AHL season this year. - VANTEL
Aren't they just going to MTA some new TV deal that will help the owners when they're paying for a secondary league that they all own?
Hopefully Podkolzin gets some more playing time |

Coyotes fire director of scouting - VANTEL
Jeez I wonder why lol, another franchise, like Buffalo, that needs to purge the organization. |

“Rumours out of BOS today had them talking trade with VAN. Experts guessing Carlo or McVoy as potential targets with the name of Boeser going the other way. Too big if you ask me. A more likely trade target could be DeBrusk whose play has sunk. Maybe for Virtanen.”

Surprised Benning’s never traded with his old team. At least that I can recall? - Pacificgem
McAvoy should be close to untouchable but if he’s available I’d easily trade Boeser + other good assets for him |

Should try to poach and promote a top scout from teams like TB or ANA |

I think Benning wants to run it himself, control freak, which scares the crap out of me given his Virtanen and Juolevi picks
2016 = ZERO NHL games played from our draft. We finished 3rd last in the entire league too. |

Benning's ego is too big , he wants to choose the first pick |

Point taken
Even then you could poach a good scout and just give him a promotion/raise to “director of scouting” with the agreement that JB gets final say. The scout basically does the same job he did in ANA/TB but with a bit more influence, a better job title, and a raise. |

OJ will get games (he already has, technically, this postseason). Those two "bad" picks were from longer ago than his recent "good" picks – so he's trending in the right direction. |

McAvoy for BB would be amazing. That kid is a stud.
Building a package around JV + Rathbone for Carlo is also an option, as Boston doesn't have great LHD depth with Krug and Chara both potentially being gone. |

I ain't going near that comment

I agree with you. But you know what they say about talent-less fools they become critiques. Like some paint masterpieces others can't and just trash them.
I get your point on AHL its as problematic for the NHL. My point is they are more linked in operation and ownership that something will be done for all those players. The incentive is there to provide some kind of season and the suggestion of looking for TV revenue as a content provider may make it operational even at a loss.
It also seems the prospects getting sent to Europe are not the AHL ones but those from college or CHL level that won't be playing for a year plus. |

Some Boston fans are saying it would be Gaudette the Bruins are interested in. |

Would rather keep Gaud – we don't really have anyone to fill that 3C hole other than Sutter. No one really close in the system either.

That trade would be a massive W. This is coming from someone who wants to keep Boeser too.
Gaudette seems more like a winger to me anyway |
