Anyone pick up on the Bure quotes about BLM protests?

“If we talk about equality, one law should be interpreted equally for everyone. If something happens to a white person, it’s OK, but if he is black – it’s a big tragedy. All people should be treated equally,” Bure was quoted as saying by Sport-Express.

“I worked in America for more than 20 years playing with guys from different ethnic groups. My best friend was Gino Odjick, an American Indian who introduced me to his ethnic community.

"But native Indians are the most oppressed nation in North America. Donald Brashear, a black guy, was also my friend and there was no racism. What is happening now is outrageous hysteria, reverse racism. Why should anyone apologize?,” the ‘Russian Rocket’ added.

What will this do for his recognition?

Wait? Already happening. The US government gave people $1200 in a pandemic relief, and some additional money for the unemployed that ran out in July. How's that supposed to last people 6+ months?

Landlords are still filing paperwork to evict people. Wait until there are tens of thousands of homeless families.

Canada's CERB runs out in a few weeks so that poop show will happen here too maybe nowhere near as crazy though.

Sat says TT deal is a done deal, could be announced this week. Do we win the Madden deal now?

The mortgage deferral will probably have a bigger impact than the CERB, CERB is basically extended for an extra 26 weeks (400$ less a month).

Hah, nowhere near as crazy. And it seems like the Canadian government will be able to get together and figure out another way to help – unlike the US counterparts. Add to the pot race protests, natural disasters, contentious Supreme Court nomination hypocrisy, an election...

I think the longer Marky goes on the more likely it won't happen.

Tanev I'm assuming if this TT deal is signed soon. But who knows...

Benning does appear to be very active right now so logically I assume they are looking to fill Tanev's spot with younger more durable right shooter on D. I believe JB when he says he's not trading Boeser any time soon so in my mind the to go list is one or more of Demko, JV, Pearson, and prospects.

I thought he had said he has not talked to Minny about Boeser for Dumba. Did he come out and say after he was not trading Boeser at all ?

He has said it multiple times going back to the beginning of the playoffs.. He also said recently that he and Minny have had no discussions about Boeser. They are separate quotes.

During the playoffs, he said he wasn't trading Boeser. Recently, he said he's not looking to trade Boeser, and hasn't talked to Minny about him. However, he said he wouldn't be doing his job if he wasn't listening to other GMs and their offers.

I think he's willing to trade Boeser, if it's an over-payment deal from another team. Don't think he's actively putting his name out there.

I remember back at the start of the playoffs he said we are not actively shopping Boeser . That was two months ago and they were not allowed to trade back then . They are out of the playoffs now and can talk to teams.

Found what he said:

“Lots of GMs call us about our players. I listen and sometimes we have a conversation. That’s my job as a GM. If I’m not listening to other GMs, then I’m not doing my job. But we’re not trying to trade Brock Boeser. I have not had a conversation with Minnesota about him.”

He said it again the other day. I've heard him say it 3 times in audio since the beginning of the playoffs. I don't think his comment that he hasnt discussed it with Minny disqualifies the other quotes. He's just addressing all the Boeser to Minny rumors is all. Also, if he was open to trade Boeser, he wouldnt be squashing rumors at all. Counter productive.

This.
Essentially JB is not actively shopping him, but he's not untouchable.

Thats the comment I heard the other day. If someone heard/read the Minny denial, than they should have also seen the comment about not trying to trade Boeser since it was in the same interview...

No one is untouchable unless they have full NTC blanket and have no desire for a new location. Therefor you always return the calls. You never know...

OKay

It would be a little foolish to say we are looking to trade Brock while Toffoli is not signed anyways just in case Toffoli did not sign here. Then he would look really stupid.
