We just got plowed by two teams who, as organizations, have less talent than we do. Our GM and coach worked hand in hand to put the least ideal roster on the ice. They both did an atrocious job and they should be on the verge of losing their jobs over it. They have well established track records. There is no need to see if two men who have shown no interest in learning from their mistakes suddenly start learning. There's no time for that.

Team only lost b2b games once after Jan 8 (Games 3 and 4 vs Isles) and never lost 3 in a row in regulation in the 2020 calendar year. Head coach earned his 5th Jack Adams nomination. BTW, if you look at playoff usage, AV was quite often able to get his top players out in the most seemingly favorable matchups (Charlie did a good breakdown of that) -- they just didn't deliver.

But yeah, fire the coach and the GM.

Could the Flyers make a play for Pietrangelo? Sign him in the 45mil/5year range. Send Niskanen in the deal for his rights, trade Ghost and possibly JVR for whatever youth legit talent you can find and sign Hoffman 15mil/3year.

Welcome back a healthy Lindbolm and Patrick.

Giroux Couturier Konecny
Linbolm Hayes Farabee
Hoffman Patrick Vorchek
Raffl Laughton Aube-Kubel

Provorov Pietrangelo
Sanhiem Myers
Hagg Friedman

Hart
Elliott

Why would Pietrangelo sign for 5 years when he can get 7 years?

But TWO different sources were saying this? Although that could mean the guy who sells popcorn and the other guy who sells cotton candy. But still. TWO sources!

Read Charlie O'Connors article about Myers prospective new contract. He thinks he will get less than Sanheim on a short term contract. That would be great if they signed Myers for 2 years for under $3mil. Every penny counts.

I wouldn't mind rolling the dice with him and going long term; usually against it though always exceptions.

Well that just makes sense. Sky is the limit but hasn’t done enough to get more.::::: yet. Almost the same situation sanhiem is in.

Yeah I would be fine with it as well. 5 years would be a good term.

I think he is the real deal. Either way makes sense.

What is an "All-Awesome" list and which one/ones are you referring to?

I do other things after my morning of mournings about the Flyers. Sorry for the tardiness.

Good in the short term but if he explodes as a player then it will cost you down the line. That's the gamble. It's a tough spot for the Flyers as his rookie year coincided with the final year of his EL deal. Not enough of a sample to sign him to a longer term deal that could save cap space down the road.
