I fell for the clickbait. Well played Ek. Well played.
Since I'm in here, I might as well respond......
1. Did Kovy manage to sell his home in Alpine? If not, is this why you (Ek) think Kovy is coming back to NJ?
2. Fitzy (and Shero before him) never had to deal with Kovy. Why would they want to bring him back? If Lou was in charge and if the Devils were actually playoff contenders, I can see Lou bringing Kovy back to the fold. There's a better chance of Kovy skating for the Isles next season.
3. Kovy is no where close to the scoring machine he was. I don't even think you can get 20 out of him. Why spend money when the Devils can sign Hoffman, Dandonov, and the other 2nd/3rd Tier forwards that are UFAs. Hell, I'd rather see the team sign Hall to a contract.
4. Maybe the reason to bring Kovy in is for leadership. Kovy doesn't even do that. I didn't see him bringining his leadership skills to a young LA Kings team.
5. Come on Ek, make more plausable trade rumors. But then again, stuff like this gets you clicks. You have great writers on your site who really know their stuff (and that's why I keep coming back here). Leverage them and learn (espeically from Kevin Allen, one of the best). |
