Or, do a deal with the Sabres, swap #1 centres and some other players to even out salary going each direction. Could you squeeze out Dahlen and Eichel for Scheifele and Laine, picks or other secondary players?
Pouty players are a drag on the team. - Old Flopper
id say we can not but i'd be all over that deal for the Jets!!!! |

At the draft and start of free agency, LOTS of domino's will fall across this league. It is the perfect storm. Cash is tight, teams need to be creative, and preparation for the expansion draft could cause some teams to make moves before they lose a very good asset. |

is New Jersey ready to make some big moves or is the slow re build still the plan? fans must be getting antsy?
do you see them keeping all 3 first rounders?
has the GM been made permanent?

No. Eichel is way better than Scheifele, and Dahlin is actually getting top minutes. Buffalo shouldn’t do this |

here's a long term play and far out prediction!! I feel like Ultimate on this one lol!!!
Arizona makes a play for Laine right now, locks him up on a 8 year deal in a year from now and then signs hometown boy Mathews in 4 years to play with Laine!!! heard it here first lol!!
now what would Zona trade look like? buckle up lots of pieces to it.
first
they'd have to move Kuemper to acquire some picks cause the Jets would want some picks included and they have none right now, but Kuemper should be in high demand.
Stepan and Hjarlmson are both included, both have one year left on their deals and Jets can take on those salaries or they get Zona to eat some cap. these are more of one year rentals.
then they also include Hayton and Soderstrom, their best 20 year old center prospect and best 20 year old Right Shot D prospect. also throw in Jenik, another decent prospect.
Zona saves as much money as they can this year and next with an eye on competing in 4 years.
remember folks this is all just fun and games, none of us are GM's, just throwing shat at a wall and laughing |

Chevy is not doing anything this offseason. He never has and never will. This autumn he will be known as Chevelallautumnoff. |

I like how you think. This would be a great deal for the Jets. |

Anderson as a backup now??
Are you for real?? He's done and so is PK, time has caught up to these guys like it has Wheeler,
that tiny 3rd pair would get crushed, oh and if Subban was acquired that's where he's suited to play now, 3rd D pair, that's where Samberg should be as well. - JetFuel
I was thinking of adding Taylor Hall and Anthony Cirelli to my team. I am glad I didn't, as I am unsure how you would have reacted. |

If Bobby Ryan is available, we should go get him. He would be a great 2nd/3rd line winger. |

It's not that he won't do anything, it's that he won't do anything bold. The Jets will sign their RFA's for about 5 million. Pick up a partner for Morrissey at 4 million, sign a depth dman for 2 million and bring in a veteran forward for 1 million. That gives them 3.5 million in cap space.
Yes they could also have 5 million more in cap space if Little is LTIR, but are they going to force him to make a decision today or let him wait until December when training camp opens. The Jets will do right by him and choose the latter, meaning that cap space is worthless to the Jets this year, cause all the FA's are signed. |

as Montreal keeps locking up older D, it means Kulak, Mete and Juulsen will all have to clear waivers this year and they probably only have room for one of them.
anybody like these guys? |

Hjalmarsson won’t waive. Said so last week.
As for the trade on the whole, Arizona would never do it |

No he wouldn’t. He’s washed, unfortunately. And I want nothing to do with a 7mil price tag |

Kulak is a very high end 2nd pairing guy. I trade for him now, tomorrow, and yesterday |

getting bought out, he's a UFA, probably signs a 2x2 type deal somewhere |

That's would be a great deal for any team looking to add a 40-50 point winger! Instantaneous upgrade over some of our bottom six wingers and would make for a great human perseverance story! |

With Bobby Ryan being a UFA, and the high possibility that the Jets could make a RFA offer for Cirelli, and still have the cap space to sign Taylor Hall. Also we could buy out Perreault. Lowry will become an extra forward. With the trade I proposed for Laine, our line-up could look like:
Connor-Scheifele-Ehlers
Hall-Hischer-Roslovic
Ryan-Cirelli-Wheeler
Harkins-Copp-Appleton
Morrissey-Subban
Niku-Pionk
Sandberg-Poolman
Hellebyuck
Anderson
Go Jets Go!!!
Also with three first round picks: #7, #10, and #17, we have no idea what other treasures we will have |

Third line Wheeler, I like it, that's where I think he should play, kinda like Kessel was on the HBK line for the Penguins. |

I think if these players see my vision, they will sign below market value in order to win a Stanley Cup!
The Jets organization needs to hire me, in order to make this happen. |

I made this line-up with you in mind. You seem like a good person that sees the team very similarly to myself. |

Pitch me these contracts. You have my curiosity.
Also, upon looking into it, it would appear that I was wrong about Bobby Ryan. I think he would actually be a solid add for our 3rd line. He’s still a player, it seems. Copp-Lowry-Ryan, though I hate the usage of Copp here, would Murder fools with Ryan’s shot |
