Danault will use the "I'm the habs' version of Patrice Bergeron" card... he just doesn't have the numbers to go with it - Pat1993
you know, their numbers aren't as far off as one would think. going by when their ages were the same. danault also starts in own zone a bit more. both put up vg possession numbers.
considering one gets a ton of PP(code) time and other doesn't, its closer than one would think

So far:
Tatar-Danault-Gallagher
Drouin-Suzuki-Armia
Domi-Kotkaniemi-Lehkonen
Byron-Evans-Weal
Charriot-Weber
Edmundson-Petry
Romanov-Kulak
Price
Allen
It’s about this so far. Wouldn’t surprise if we traded one defenseman and sign a RD to replace Kulak or Romanov to have a great top 6.
And we miss a 4th liner cause I wish Weal will never play has an Habs again.
And we need a top 6 RW or at least top 9. P
Still some work to do but it’s looking better each day. |

I think they' ll use Poehling on the 4th line. At least at some point.
I think Domi is gone, but I guess they could go short term.

They won't go from what they were last season to a contender in one offseason. It's not how it works. |

absolutely,
especially when you don't fill your needs to do so, aka a top LD and a top RW

then Danault might be onto something when he was saying he could contribute more offensively... |

I think the latter is a more pressing matter right now, but yeah, a good puck-moving D would also be welcome |

let say they get OEL instead of Edmunston and trade for Mantha. just speculating here. then they would be much closer to be a contender for the next few years while Price and Weber are still able to skate.
as of now, they are still just a bubble team. and will remain until MB is fired imo. |

but it would've been quite the difference in the asking price there, no? not saying it wouldn't be worth it, but you have to consider the assets you're giving away to acquire the guy..
also, Mantha is still a possibility although I don't get why DET would part ways with him... |
