He’d probably be the #2 dman here behind Hughes. Heavy shot, can play physical and pretty decent defensively.
Pelech is super underrated too - Nucker101
So a young 1C and 2D
For
A 2C, top 6FWD, Middle 6 fwd and 5-6 Dman.
Seems like a no-brainer for sure.

So a buddy's 85 yr old father had a heart attack last Monday the 14th, had surgery to put in 3 stints and had an angioplasty on Thursday and is still going moose and elk hunting Monday |

Dubnyk had an off year last year, but previous years had good stats. How about a 3way deal?
Van: Carlo, Dubnyk
Wild:Baerschi 1m retained
Boston: Virtanen, Wild 2020 2nd. - Retinalz
So Minny ships out Dubnyk and their 2020 2nd for Sven Baertschi ????

I haven’t listened to 1040 in a long time so didn’t know that “Donnie and Moj” had their own segment. (frank) that must be unbearable. |

Interesting listen, this guy has clearly done some research.

He's right about Virtanen in arbitration but wrong about what it takes to qualify him. He also makes a strong case for moving Gaudette. - Udogs
Qualifying offers for players with over $1M salaries are 100% of base salary and exclude bonuses. In Jake’s case, that is $1.4M. The comment I heard was that Jake might get a $3M settlement in arbitration, which is consistent with previous estimates that I’d seen.
Qualifying Jake for @ $1.4M x 1 year seems “fair”, in the circumstances, but I would expect Jake’s agent to disagree and push for arbitration.
While going the qualifying offer route provides for the potential for offer sheets (2nd round pick as likely compensation), this year I imagine it would really mean an arbitrator award ($2.5-$3.5M+) and then both the Canucks and Jake are tied by the no-trade restriction for the next year. Of course, Jake could just reject the qualifying offer and go UFA, but I don’t see how he’d get a big money win during the pandemic thingy.
I wonder if they try to sign him for less than he might get in arb ( ~$2Mx2 year, maybe with some signing money) with a promise to find him an opportunity to play somewhere else?

I do know exactly who he is . I wrote my complaint against him and his pal David when they were trying to charge me money to listen to them talk on a podcast about why Ray Ferarro would make a better GM than Jim Benning. I really could care less who they thought were the top 15 top players to acquire when they watching 82 Canuck games only from the lazy boys of their living room.
He has taken on a new role this year thankfully and not trying to charge me money anymore . He reports stats this year of overseas Canuck prospects playing in Europe. Huge difference from last year . HUGE HUGE HUGE.

Talked to an NHL scout who suggested the Canucks should shift their focus on Braden Holtby. Points to what will likely be a more cap friendly AAV, and bringing Stanley Cup experience would prove to be invaluable for a young team trying to win.

I Think Jake will be moved before the draft unless Canucks can not sign Toffoli

Just thought I would point it out, since you have on several occasions given people your opinion about people quoting Canucks Army.
A couple other people, who you tend to quote, Thomas Drance and Ryan Biech are also former Canucks Army bloggers. |

They have also hired JD Burke so what's your point? I like the Canucks but don't like Eriksson .
Ryan Biech is a very quiet guy who sticks to stats and little opinion.
My problem with Faber and David Q is more to do with when they started the Canucks Way . They were very amateurish but are growing . The bigger point of issue is they are not trying to charge me money now .

Because they have now have sponsorship from a couple companies. I noticed lately they got access to talk directly to Nils Hoglander, Vancouver scouting staff, Management and I believe DQ even said they talked to the Rogle GM recently as well. So even though they're "bloggers/podcasters" and you can take their "opinions" with a grain of salt - they are getting more access to the team then say....Reubenkincade. |

Good on them . They took a whole U turn of how they began. Some of their early stuff was quite ridiculous.
These days with the help of social media it is so easy to get a platform or even air time on a local radio station . We have witnessed people like Taj and Tanbir, Troy from White Rock , Uncle Laleet and other goofs like JD Burke be given airtime. Tony Gallagher is probably turning in his grave (Not dead I know).
I have seen Comet Corey report for two years on the Comets and be given multiple interviews on both radio stations. He is a good guy but all he did was watch a game and report it.
It is an excellent move by Faber to change direction because there is only him and CanucksAbby giving daily reports of overseas prospects.

My point is, you have belittled people on here, for qoting Canucks Army, but it is okay for you to quote some current and former bloggers from that site, it has nothing to do with Faber and Quadrelli.
A month or so back you and your gang were complaining about some people on here not being rah-rah types, and I believe you even quit coming here for a bit, because these people were giving others, what you deemed, a hard time, which is what you were doing, whenever someone would post a Canucks Army blog.
So, I guess I am just trying to point out a bit of hypocrisy. |
