Quick update - Marco Rossi is on the same team in Austria as Rasmussen. Yzerman has spoken to Rossi three times. This may be a “tip of the hand”. I don’t know for sure, honestly. But this is an interesting development. |

Pretty much everyone wants Rossi except for the few that think we should go for another RD. |

No to Rossi for me. Perfetti has a better chance to stick down the Middle. Rossi plays like a winger and will end up there. He had a massive per game point differential vs weaker opponents. It was something like 1.25 vs top tier and like 2.75 vs bottom tier. He can be extremely perimeter based, and his zone entry and exit are all middling, if not slightly below average. Let Ottawa deal with him. Take Perfetti, or Drysdale, I guess, hell even trade back and gain an extra Top 90 pick this year and/or next. |

Your Perfetti vs Rossi explanation is literally backwards from every source possible. Everything suggests Perfetti does not skate well enough for the center position. With that said he is my 2nd choice after Rossi. |

2nd round I’m hoping for Rodion Amirov and Daniil Gushchin. I’m not overly concerned about getting defenseman. |

Pronman over at The Athletic says NHL Scouts are split on Rossi being able to stay at Center.
TBH, both of them are average skaters at best, but then again nor was number 13, and look what He did in his career! Haha!
My favorite player in this draft is Anton Lundell who I just think is so overlooked. He is the 2nd coming of Patrice Bergeron, who is hands down my favorite player in the NHL now (and yes I am, and always have been a Red Wings fan). Won 54% of his faceoffs against men, is just absolutely dynamite in the Defensive Zone already and just an exceptional passer. Somebody in the 8-12 range is gonna get a hell of a player, who is ready now. He may never be a superstar, but that guy is gonna have a 15 year career as just a solid all around true Center, in the running for the Selke every year. |

Daniil scares me......fly weight water-bug. Rodin is already playing with the big boys in the KHL

Late 2nd round pick I’m taking the gamble on Daniil. Not a comparison but Kucherov was a little boy when he was drafted too. |

Honestly couldn't tell you.... either way I was referencing his report on what NHL Scouts were saying, not his personal take. |

I’m not a fan of Pronman at all. If he was a good scout he’d be paid by a pro team. |

I haven’t seen anything to suggest Rossi is an average skater. Honestly I’m happy so long as they don’t take Drysdale. |

Bergeron is one of my faves too. He builds up and works with guys. Makes them better. Just an all around fantastic center |

That might get you off of Drysdale’s Christmas card list. I’ll get you a fruitcake if he shafts you like that
Is there a left D you’re looking at? I remember you being concerned about that slot |

Late round projects could be Carson Bantle & Chase Bradly, both play heavy game, good size. Like any late rounders give them time, could be great bottom six wingers. |

I'm hoping for Bordeleau to drop to 32, and Smilianic at 45. Adding in Perfetti/Rossi/One of the Swedes at 4 and all of a sudden you have maybe your entire 2nd line of the future set. Maybe Evan Vierling or Roby Jarventie at 55. That said, I'm not sure any of thise guys make it to any of those picks! Haha! |
