McCartney could really belt it out when called upon. Love his heavy vocals on this track and, of course, The White Album's "Helter Skelter".
For those keeping score, Abbey Road is the best Beatles record. Fight me.
My favourite track off the album (inspired by Fleetwood Mac's "Albatross"... in fact, this track was temporarily titled "Fleetwood Mac"):

Love that one too. Thanks for info. Didn’t know the connection. I started listening to Fleetwood Mac at the end of Peter Green - Then Play On and listened a lot when Christine Perfect/Mcvie joined and Bob Welch and Danny Kirwinbwere playing.

I read an article the other day about some "coded" curse words embedded in the lyrics to "Sun King". Apparently, the phrase "chicka ferdy" means "f off".
"There was a thing in Liverpool that us kids used to do, which was instead of saying 'f--k off,' we would say 'chicka ferdy,'" McCartney said. "It actually exists in the lyrics of the Beatles song 'Sun King.' In that song, we just kind of made up things, and we were all in on the joke. We were thinking that nobody would know what it meant, and most people would think, 'Oh, it must be Spanish,' or something. But, we got a little seditious word in there!"
Sir Paul, how dare you!
As an aside, haven't really explored a whole lot of Fleetwood Mac's early stuff but do enjoy (predictably) a lot of their later phase oeuvre.
