Allen looked great for 2.5 games this year
He looked lost in the 2nd half yesterday
That Pass interference call bailed us out of a game we almost choked away
Got a tough schedule the rest of this season
Hopefully Allen can keep up the good play
If he does,
THEN I’ll admit he’s our guy
And when he does it for multiple seasons,
THEN I’ll admit he’s a “franchise qb”
I’m not gonna get overexcited bc he beat up on Miami & the Jets, and idk if the Rams are any good or not?
After the 1st half yesterday, i was pretty psyched
But that 2nd half has me a bit concerned
We’ll see how it goes though
Go Bills! - jdfitz77
He’s undoubtedly a franchise QB. Unless our definitions of one vary.
He’s not going for 5,300 yards and 50 TD’s but unless a colossal collapse from these three games happens, he’s going for 4,000 and 30 TD’s which is franchise QB numbers.
He just needs to average 223 passing a game to get to 4,000 |

Oh My.
Except Dahlin recorded the 2nd most points by a teenager in the last 40 years.
Whereas Allen didn’t really show he could be an above average passer in the NFL until three weeks ago. - Pegullaville
How many teenage defenseman had 4 goals in a season in the last 40 years?
Just like allen can run, dahlin can pass the puck
Allen now is an above average thrower, when will dahlin be an above average goal scorer?
He scored 4 goals and we came in 25th place
Allen played well , Bill's won 10 games kid.
Winning is the most important thing still right?
Or is that when its convenient? |

I mean if we are playing the context card.
How does the impact of no crowd noise and lack of holding calls on the O-Line impact the way defence is played today ?
I would think a majority of NFL QB’s will throw for 4000 yards this year.
Look at the amount of points scored per game this year so far.

Any qbs in Denver throwing for 4,000 yards (combined) this season .
Hey if the Broncos run the ball well and play good defense, they might win 2 games

So once again it’s Dahlins fault the Sabres suck ? Just like it’s Eichel’s fault ?
The team sucked.
ROR went from 32nd place to hoisting a cup. Did the guy become Gretzky over night or were the St.Louis Blues a much better team then the Buffalo Sabres were ? |

I’m sure it has some effect, but it’s not like he’s middle of the pack.
Averaging 223 a game and only getting 30 TD’s would be a massive step down from the last three games.
They’re hell bent on going pass heavy. |

The Bills ran the ball well and played good defence and won 10 games last year with crappy QB play. Point proven. |

I’m not ready to extrapolate an entire season’s worth of stats based off 2 games vs bad teams,
and a good half against what I’d consider a middle of the road team
4,000yds doesn’t mean sh!t anymore either
Over half the league does that I’d guess
Allen has looked good so far this season
Emphasis on “so far”
I wanna see him play this way the rest of the season
And i wanna see him beat good teams
Don’t see anything wrong with that |

Eichel is a unique situation
Swedish jesus - 4 goals in the 2019-2020 season
And your happy, because you want to be right.
Best defenseman drafted since 1970 - 4 goals
3rd qb and 7th overall pick josh allen - breaking nfl qb records for the first 3 games.

Eichel to LA I would do
Byfield (pick#2), Turcotte and Vilardi
For Eichel and Skinner
Get two young centers, with cozens we should have best core in league in a couple seasons. Vilardi looks like and up and comer. Dumping skinner clears our cap for future.
I can see us winning cups with Byfield/Cozens/Turcotte/Mitts as our four centers. |

Crappy qb play?
Now Allen was crappy last year
Never gonna be elite just 2 weeks ago, because you "studied" his game.
4 goals by an nhl defenseman that was picked #1 overall the year before is fine though. It was the team.

I'd prefer the first deal, get an excellent center in Mika, Lafreniere and a defenseman.
I think it's imperative a center comes back in the deal and not just any center. - Leninthebuff
Mika would be great. I'd still take Byfield with 1st, then pray that Holtz falls in their lap.
Skinner - Mika Z - Rhino
Olofsson - Staal - Anderson
Kahun - Cozens - Smith
Next season,
Cozens moves up
Byfield replaces Cozens at C3
Holtz joins the team
Sam traded
Skinner - Mika Z - Anderson
Olofsson- Cozens - Holtz
Kahun - Byfield - Smith
Then watch out...

It's insanity. When is the last time the Sabres traded a good player and won the trade? Peca for TC? Kind of a push.
Hell, when is the last time a player of Eichel's caliber was traded and the team doing it won the trade?
Boston with Joe Thornton? No. They lost that trade.
I would say Lindros but he never even suited up for les quebecoise. It's a dumb conversation (no offense) and it would be a horrible mistake.

Im not sure if you can completely obsolve the player from the expectations he set and hasnt lived up too (yet)?
I love dahlin, I have a dahlin shirtzee .
Did you personally think he would score more than 4 goals in year 2?
He's just a kid. And will probably explode on the scene next year.
But, 4 goals was below my expectations

Dahlin accomplished a heck of a lot more in his first 2 seasons then Allen did.
Allen has made several improvements in year 3.
Dahlin will too.
Dahlin broke several records for a teenage d-man.
Allen ranked 32/32 out of QB’s in every accuracy statistic and failed to put a Houston Texans team away while Bill O’Brian coached quite possibly the worst possible game I’ve ever seen and still managed to win.
Allen had as much to do with the success of that Bills team last year as Blake Bortles did when the Jags went to the AFC championship game in 2017.
Yet Dahlin stinks because we couldn’t make the playoffs ?
You’re logic is fundamentally flawed.
I’m not going to dispute what I have seen from
Allen these first three weeks as he has been playing very well, the only similarity between Josh this year and years past is still has the same name. Completely different QB. |

Just an interesting look at some offers that are being reported. I thought Krug would be an idea as a 2 LD ufa. Not sure he fits the budget at $6.5 or more. Not with Joker, Dahlin and needing a 1RD to pair with Dahlin.
The Boston Bruins remain in talks with pending unrestricted free agent Torey Krug, with their latest offer coming in at $6.5 million per year for the next six years, according to TSN's Frank Seravalli. - Gr8daygo

He just did this 24 hours ago against a 2-0 team that was in the Super Bowl two years ago.
And again, 4,000 flat would be a pretty big dive.
He’s been flat out incredible so far. And I’m not sure the Dolphins are “bad” this season. They played NE tight, almost beat us, and killed Jacksonville |

Just me though, the thread is littered with trade talks involving eichel.

In all seriousness, Bruins would have to do something like Jack Studnicka, Brandon Carlo, Krejci & a 1st round pick to even get to the table for Jack Eichel. There are other teams outside the Atlantic Division that could offer significantly better packages. Pipe dream for B's - GilPerreault11
In all seriousness, that Boston 'offer' is hilariously bad and gets them nothing but an immediate hang up. |
