Well, the so called " cap" is, as of now, going to happen for 2 reasons. They don't know what the NHL will be like next year and going forward with revenue and the cap, so they want to make sure they can add and still have room and stay competitive.
Second thing is Dahlin, they want to make sure they can pay him and not break the bank, with this covid thing Pegula is nervous, my uncle's friend with the Sabres hasn't been paid since June, if that tells you anything.
There are players they are looking at to bring in and also if they do, how will it effect the cap for years to come. They like Laine and still have interest in Monahan and also Toffoli, Tanner Pearson, Bobby Ryan and a few others along with a a couple D men. Laine is a big topic for them.
They like the goalies for now and don't know how smart it would be to pay a big name when they have Ullmark and 6K coming up, not saying they won't but as of now, no. - SABRES 89
Good stuff 89

It's interesting that Laine is a big topic for them because he will cost more than Risto and Mitts and that they are still interested in Monahan. Those are some big, expensive fish but there is a new GM who may or may not like some of our current pieces and prospects so it could be an interesting ride this offseason.

Lol
Your trying to keep me out of trouble. 🙂
I'm rooting for dahlin , flacco is a Broncos fan.
Hes Not rooting for allen, just stirring poop.
Fitz, tooph and 36 are being stubborn.
They didnt think allen was good. Now he's making them look bad.
No response to my multiple nfl rankings of allen at 87
I hope sam and dahlin make me look bad next season - Boss34
Where did I ever say Allen wasn't good, do you just right stuff to make it look better. It's great the players think so highly of him. Until this year his numbers point to a middle of the pack QB that was bad throwing the deep ball. He has put in a lot of hard work and looks great this year. Do you even read the posts or do you just see what you want to see. |

Can we check back in 1-1/2 years when Dahlin is 22 like Cal will be in 32 days?
He should be able to close the 10 pt gap. - IonSabres
Currently yes
Any chance cal gets better?
Nah, probably not 😉 |

Maybe it'll come out, much like Talleender and Lewdman that Laine pronounces his name "Lean" 😂 |

Eh. I think all sports leagues have proven they have smart and aggressive people running things. And it's the smart and aggressive that have succeeded the most throughout this. Even the Big 10 and Pac 12 have realized operating scared leads to failure. |

36 you been acting like allen just got good.
Come on
We all knew his accuracy was an issue. Deep ball included.
I think the nfl players opinion is a bit stronger than yours.
Not that I do not appreciate your opinion or the banter, but this didnt "just" happen |

I wish they could work a trade for Ehlers rather than Laine.
As far as Dmen, would love to see DeMelo for Dahlin's partner. |

I’m hoping to watch a football season myself.
I don’t watch any TV apart from Sports for the most part.
I either watch sports or talk about it on here.
Maybe I should get a life and watch thousands of hours of Netflix instead haha. |

Bennett is one mean physical guy.
For $9m, he should think more of putting some points in these finals.
Edit: Benn, not Bennett...freakin autocorrect. |

That's why it's interesting that 89 mentioned that Laine is a big topic with the Sabres. The only way they consummate the deal is if they move one of their current big ticket players.
Laine plays RW, Reinhart plays RW and they haven't spoken much about his next contract but it seems Dahlin is gaining attention as well he should I guess even though he hasn't been great yet.

I only wonder if they'd rather trade Kuemper due to their dire financial situation and Kuemper being owed $5.5M in actual salary this coming season. |

Serious question flacco
I picked " Broncos QB " in my keeper league
We pick team qb instead of individual players
Any chance they go 0 - 16 and get trevor Lawrence?
Devastated on both sides if the ball
Outcoached with vic?
Otherwise I would cut them, but can't keep them |

The only way I see a cancelation is a huge spike in death rate. Believe what you want about when/if we get a vaccine, the medical community knows a lot more about how to treat this thing than it did six months ago. |

I'm not sure if they will ever both be the same age?
😀
All.kidding aside that's a more fair comparison
Although dahlin would have more.nhl experience at 22 years old, which would lean slightly towards him for an advantage |
