Allen is the first QB in NFL history with at least 10 passing TDs and 2 rushing TDs in the first 3 games of a season
- Stripes77

He's been the first QB in NFL history for a lot of things so far this season

Ryan Tannehill has also turned out to be a pretty good QB in the NFL after several years in the league so taking that into account it definitely takes different time frames for it to click for a player.

I mean everyone knew Allen was a project coming out of College, he had all the talent in the world just needed to be molded, and I think you are starting to see that. He is playing very well, It's scary because he still has more room to grow.

At the moment Josh is looking like the guy in high school that went to prom without a date because he was nerdy and creepy looking whom everyone wrote off.

Now he’s the guy with the smoking hot girlfriend and the solid career that everyone looks at and says wow look how he turned out. (As long as the Josh from the past 3 games is the one that is here to stay)

- Pegullaville

At the moment, it looks like your still grasping at straws pretending this just happened with josh allen, but you were right all along.

Pretty clear- you misjudged him and were stubborn and convinced yourself that he is "all of the sudden" good.

He showed signs that %80 of us Bill's fans were %100 behind him.

He led the Bill's to the playoffs last year.

Check out fantasy football rankings.
Josh is listed in the 5 -10 range.

I know fantasy football isnt real, but Josh was also in the top 100 nfl players right?

You just ignored this.

Again, it's ok that you were wrong.

Welcome aboard, he's an exciting player, an hour from where you live.

Hopefully this pandemic ends and we can crush a few beers tailgating. I'll have my Allen Jersey on.

Again, this just clicked for you.

Allen has been playing good football for a guy with 30 starts. From the beginning. Better now, but he's been very good. A PLAYOFF qb

*more 4th quarter and ot comebacks than any other nfl qb since the start of the 2019 season.

Sure, but a lot of the things Allen has done these last few weeks he has never done ever including college.

I believe a lot of people expected him to improve his accuracy as he compelled 22% of his deep ball passes last year but not to the tune of what he’s done this year to date.

I would still like to see how this unveils over the course of the season however yes the comparisons to Tebow are outdated.

Kerri and Tym helped make the call on Allen FYI

They overbeared the crap out of scouting and meeting with him. Credit due

on the inaccurate label allen was given

1. he had crap wr's in college and the tape was based when wyoming was playing better teams in better conferences

2, he had the worst group of wr's I have ever seen on the bills his rookie season

I mean foster and zay jones, where are they now?

3. you saw him keeping drives alive and moved down the field so many times last year, only to go backwards at the end because of the holding penalty or a sack where he had bledsoe time (drew's last season here when o line sucked and he got sacked too much)

and now diggs clearly was the missing piece, and I do not think they are close to a finished product yet

We all knew Josh was an effective runner, that’s why he was a great fantasy QB because the point structure is awarded differently for rushing yards and rushing TD’s then it is for passing yards and passing TD’s.

He was not efficient through the air though Boss.

Look at the numbers my friend they don’t lie.

This year he has been more then effective through the air. It’s a night and day difference.

Funny thing about yeldon,
I thought he played really good today when he was in the game.

I liked his game.

I was a little shocked he stayed on the bench for the second half

I think he is a better blocker then singletary

Actually last year in the intermediate routes (10-20 yards passed the line of scrimmage) Allen was 10th in completion percentages so it was starting to click. The deep ball was his biggest bugaboo which so far he has taken great strides.

But the biggest thing to me is he understands the offense so well right now and has improved on reading defenses. It is going to suck when Daboll leaves after this season...

His biggest improvement IMO is how comfortable he is in the pocket right now.

I mean who knew that he would be completing 72% of his passes over 20 yards. And another big thing and it's still early, but his receiver's dropping 24 or 26 passes last year didn't help.

The Bills averaged 19.6 YPG on offence last year.

This year the Bills are averaging 31 points through 3 games.

Allen last year had a 58% completion percentage and averaged 193 YPG through the air.

Through three games this year he has completed 70% of his passes while throwing for 346 YPG.

Now his attempts are up this year so that definitely helps in terms of accumulating more yards but that’s looks like quite the difference to me

Rushing tds take away from passing tds statistically right?

How can he throw it in, when he ran it in?

Total tds are a fair way to judge allen and other qbs nowadays.

It's not all about statistics, homie just brought up his wr core the first year.

His completion % was expected low

Last year beasley and brown were brand new. He had to adjust.

Maybe you don't watch enough games? Too busy scouting cortland sutton?

I'm curious what the media will say about the Seahawks and Wilson versus the Bills and Allen...granted that game wasn't 28-3 but still.

Come on Boss, it wasn't just that his WR weren't all world, Allen threw his share of really bad balls.

I don’t disagree that they lacked the true #1 WR that they now have in Diggs.

However, everyone was all about John Brown last year on these threads and Cole Beasley is no slouch either.

Now his rookie year, I don’t disagree one bit with the supporting cast.

could be why
jones, foster, and williams are not on the roster now, and they went out and got one of the best route running wr in the nfl

As a rookie, he was a rookie.

Last year he led us to the playoffs and what should have been a win.

He's clearly taken big steps from very good nfl qb last year, too mvp candidate this year.

Again, ALLEN LED US TO THE PLAYOFFS. That's really important.

He's been super exciting, why the hate?
